An exceptional and unusual late Victorian ring. Finely created in 18 Carat yellow gold with elegant scrolling side setting. At its heart glows a beautiful Imperial topaz, displaying that coveted yellow-peach hue so admired both then and now. A colour that shifts softly between gold, apricot, and pale rose depending on the light.
Flanking the central topaz are old cut diamonds, followed by rose cut diamonds at each end. A fascinating combination of diamond cuts within one design. This blending of styles reflects a moment of transition in jewellery history, as cutters moved from the older rose and table cuts toward the more brilliant forms of the late 19th century. Rings incorporating multiple cuts like this are seldom seen, making this example particularly special.
Between the five principal stones are eight tiny accent diamonds, two now missing, a small testament to its long life and genuine age. The setting is graceful and richly detailed, the warm gold enhancing the gentle fire of the diamonds and the warm glow of the Imperial topaz.

CONDITION: This is in lovely antique condition, the stones are overall in good condition with only a few nibbles. In between the main five stones are eight tiny diamonds, two of these are missing - however due to the size and design if the ring its very hard to notice.
Please note the antique box is for display only, however your order will arrived in an beautiful box hand wrapped.
