This piece was drawn for us by Heidi Ball, who has been illustrating for Cream Cornwall since 2012. She sketches every branch, fern, butterfly and tiny insect by hand in pen. We then bring the elements together and build the blue tones ourselves, letting the softer shades deepen into richer shadows so the design feels layered and textural rather than flat. Subtle touches of yellow and colour in the insects lift it gently.

It feels rooted, slightly wild and beautifully detailed.
