The tree is self fertile and a moderate grower with a spreading habit. Dependable heavy fruit sets require thinning to increase size of fruit and decrease the chance of limb damage. Disease resistant and tolerant of heat plant the Harko nectarine in a location that gets full 8 hours sun favoring the morning. Nectarine benefit from drying out early to avoid any chance of moisture related disease problems. Very large single flowers are showy making this a perfect accent tree in the edible landscape.
