Flight of Icarus is a fast-paced strategy game for 2-4 players, where you live out the legendary Icarus myth. As you soar high upon your wings, like an eagle, your goal is to escape the clutches of King Minos and fly from Crete to the Greek mainland. But beware: fly too high, and the sun will melt the wax holding your wings together; fly too low, and the moisture from the sea will weigh down your feathers, making it impossible to stay aloft.

The game unfolds in two thrilling phases. In the first phase, you’ll collect wax and feathers using an action point system, carefully managing these resources to craft your wings. You can also play innovations to give you an edge during your flight.

In the second phase, you take to the skies, navigating through both treacherous weather and the cunning maneuvers of your fellow fliers. Bid for the oracle's favor to gain control of the weather cards and the first move, as you compete for the best position in the air.

Flight of Icarus offers an engaging blend of strategic resource management and take-that mechanics. The game is fully language-independent during play, and even if your flight ends in failure, there’s no player elimination—allowing you to continue influencing the outcome by thwarting your competitors’ attempts to reach the other shore.
