This superb chess set combines the legendary Lewis Chessmen with a beautiful wooden chessboard made from mahogany and maple. The chessmen are a very accurate reproduction of the original Isle of Lewis figures, found on the island over 200 years ago. These superb chess pieces are brought to you by The Regency Chess Company. The accuracy is stunning as they are moulded from detailed laser scans of the originals. The Lewis chess pieces have become an iconic legend and remain one of the most famous and original chess designs.
The large chessboard at just over 53.3cm is made in Europe using sustainable woods and has a light layer of lacquer to offer protection whilst playing. The colours of both the chessboard and the chessmen match very well and create a chess set that is both beautiful to look at and great to play on.
