Expertly engraved in classic flowing script, the letter 'B' is carved into the surface with precision and artistry typical of the early to mid 19th century. The B is surrounded by a textured oval surface which allows it to stand.

The carnelian agate itself has a honeyed red glow which makes it such a good gemstone for carving and sort after piece. This would be a lovely project to be set into a stunning ring for pendant.

Condition: With only a fine patina of wear it is in lovely antique condition. As can be seen there are a few minor nibbles to. the edges.
