The Plastic Free Gardening RootCoachTM provides the perfect start for seeds, seedlings, plugs and cuttings, especially those plants that are sensitive to root disturbance or require deep root beds.

Made from Fairly Traded FSC®-certified natural rubber, this robust, interlocking RootCoachTM is designed for repeated use. Unlike cheap plastic equivalents, Plastic Free Gardenings rubber products are robust, flexible and long-lasting and will not crack or break after one or two uses. Gardeners will appreciate being able to remove long-rooted seedlings easily. Once ready for planting out, the RootCoachTM opens up completely.

No frame is required, as the RootCoachTM is stable enough to stand on its own. Sold in twin packs of four cells each for even greater stability, additional units can be purchased and easily connected.

Unlike the plastics industry, which is controlled by a few massive multinationals, natural rubber is an entirely sustainable product grown by small farmers or on plantations. Plastic-Free Gardening sources its rubber from suppliers whose plantations are certified not to have not replaced natural forests, in this case, a small plantation in Sri Lanka. The workers receive a Fair Trade premium to help improve their working and living conditions.

The RootCoachTM is ideal for all perennial flowers, sweet peas and deep-rooted vegetables and fruit, such as runner beans and strawberries.

This RootCoachTM contains 8 cells; each is 3.5 x 3.5 x 12 cm. Overall dimensions are 200 x 90 x 120 mm. The RootCoachTM is black which is shown to be more durable than rubber in other colours.

When you need to see where you are
Format: Spiral-bound
I love these maps and own quite a few. Easy to use, big picture or more detailed sections. Very useful despite google maps.

Another good Benchmark Atlas
Format: Spiral-bound
We camp frequently and own all of the Benchmark Atlases. Although, this is different due to Canadian laws, we are excited to try it out! Very detailed with information, such as small campgrounds and identifying land ownership (Forest services or BLM)

Memories of the Camino
Format: Paperback
First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. She was so enthusiastic and had prepared well. We, too, had been reading up and watching videos, getting suggestions as to what to bring, how to deal with physical issues and weather, what to pack and what not to pack, etc. Still, for anyone doing the Camino - whether the WHOLE 500 miles or doing the required 100 km to get the certificate at the final destination: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - it is a very personal endeavor. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.

Feeling Inspired!
Format: Paperback
Reading "The Way of Love" has inspired and encouraged me as I plan for my first (solo) Camino. I thank Angela Leslee for being unafraid to bare all the emotions in her book: the joys, victories, setbacks, disappointments, and pain. It's evident that "The Way of Love" was a labor of love as page after page recounts the 500 miles she walked! I told the author in an email that, in September, when I walk my Camino, I'll be sure to be up and out on the trail "...before sunrise when the yellow street lights cast their magical glow." Can't wait to experience that! "The Way of Love" -- easy to read and enjoy.
