Introducing Dethloff's Engine-Transmission Armor Package for your Ram EcoDiesel Pickup. It is designed to keep your critical components safe from road debris like rocks, branches, or packed snow that can dent, penetrate, or deform them. This armor protects the Engine oil pan, the Transmission oil pan, the front Driveshaft, the Transmission Oil Lines, and the exhaust tube as it crosses in front of the Transmission cross member.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Oil Changes: An aftermarket drain valve is *highly recommended for this engine and should be installed with an oil change at the time of installing this armor. The oil drain is in a difficult location even without the armor. A drain hose can be routed through the drain port in the armor.
• Unique to the diesel powertrain of these trucks is the existence of Diesel Exhaust Fluid and user-serviceable fuel filtration. The armor for the Ecodiesel trucks is a package kit that *includes* hard-service protection for the frame-mounted fuel filter canister, and for the DEF lines where they are critically exposed at the transmission crossmember. The protection afforded by these two pieces alone is critical, as it is extremely easy to damage the fuel filter housing and to snag the DEF lines on small brush or branches. The fuel filter drain is easily accessible with the armor installed.
