ARP Odyssey Mk1 For Sale - Meticulously Refurbished & Future-Proofed, sparing no expense.

This unit has an invaluable CV/Gate modification not normally found in vintage white Odysseys. The gate voltage must be high for the gate to work, so gates from newer devices may not work.

In addition to a full servicing, we took preventative measures so this model 2800 Odyssey will hopefully outlast all others out there. The whole process typically takes us 20-30 hours of highly skilled vintage synth tech labor, as we don't cut corners like most of our so-called competitors do. In addition to any necessary repairs, the work we did included the following (though I may be leaving something out):

Full disassembly and deep cleaning inside and out.
Power supply rebuild.
Recalibration.
Replacement of all tantalum capacitors.
Removal and replacement of all rubber key bushings.
Cleaning of all key contacts.
Cleaning of bus bars.
Adjustment of keys.
Replacement of all potentiometers with much better ones (approximate parts cost $300)
Cleaning of all switch contacts.

We installed a new set of knobs to fit these new faders which we are currently testing for reliability.

Post-restoration, this unit works perfectly and is better than new, thanks to its new potentiometers, and is a joy to play. Sure to make its next owner really happy. This unit is much better than the rest and is priced to reflect the investment we made to make it better than others on the market. If it doesn't sell, we're going to keep it and use it in our studio.

This ARP Odyssey is the earlest version, the mark 1.  Its filter sounds way better to us than the other versions, though we love them all. This model was big competition for the Minimoog - it's a much more flexible synth so you can get a lot more interesting sounds out of it. It's duophonic, so you can play 2 notes at once - each note using one of the 2 oscillators. Or, play it monophonically for a double oscillator layered sound. It's a great synth that offers some very impressive modulation options, oscillator sync, 2 vcos, sample and hold with selectable inputs and lag, noise source, LFO, great sounding resonant lowpass filter, highpass filter, VCA, ADSR envelope with autotriggering, CV and gate jacks for hookup to externals synths, sequencers or MIDI convertors.

Countless musicians used this model - most famous musicians of the late 70s and early 80s used these alongside their Minimoog and Fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer EPs. Compared to the Minimoog, it can make similar musical sounds but is better for sound effects and deep sounds, thanks to the additional features.

Here's a sound we made on this Odyssey during its final test:

Stand was my favorite part, hated how close off and higher speed is
Color: Silver
Well the first lesson is dont hit the power button to turn off, as it goes to 2nd speed and slings your drink everywhere. Im not happy with the stability of the brother, had better, as free with coffees. Positive is, it has a stand, it does have 3 speeds, just never needed the other two speeds, and if you dont hold power button long enough to turn off, it goes into higher speed.

Bonsenkitchen Rechargeable Milk Frother witThe
Color: Silver
I drink a specialty coffee that uses a Keurig to dispense it when it comes out pot and it mixes well I use this to mix my collagen, my coffee and some mushrooms to help keep me active and it works perfectly. I’d recommend this to anybody that is mixing their coffee with others things.

Good milk frother, drink mixer
Color: Silver
I use this every day to mix my morning protein drink. Love that it's rechargeable. And it doesn't take long to recharge. Be advised that it has 3 speeds, so when you think you're turning it off, it's actually going faster and can splatter your drink. I've learned to mix on 2, then quickly push button to 3 and then off. The speeds aren't that much different, imo, so could have one speed "on', and then 'off'.

Do not buy
Color: Silver
The worst frother i've ever used. You can't even turn it off without having to go through all the different modes, meaning you will get absolutely splashed and have to clean all the little droplets of whatever you were frothing. The power is weak. The battery did last a long time, I'll give them that. 3 months ON THE DAY the frother stopped working. A very loud noise and decreased power made it unusable. I sent them an email with NO response.

Mixes drinks well and holds a charge
Color: Silver
I bought this frother to replace a weaker frother I had been using for months. I make iced lattes with instant espresso powder, water, and milk, and this frother does a great job at mixing the powder into the water/milk. It also leaves a nice 1" or so of milk froth on the top. I love that it can be charged with a USB-C cable and doesn't require batteries like many frothers do. It's very powerful for the size.
