From the Heritage Collection, our 'Max' thick, full-cushioned merino socks have been keeping feet in gumboots, work boots or hiking boots, warm and comfortable for generations. They're available in a wide range of colours and have an elastic top and well fitting heel.

The outside of the sock is a tidy plain knit, while on the inside the threads are pulled by terry jacks during knitting to form a loop between every stitch (like the surface of a towel) giving them a springy feel and extra air pockets for insulation.

Strong and durable, they are the ultimate work and outdoor/adventure sock.

Got Questions About our ‘Max’ Socks? We’ve Got Answers.

What are your ‘Max’ socks made from?
Our 'Max' socks are made from 75% Australian-grown merino wool (which helps with temperature regulation and moisture wicking), and 25% nylon for strength and durability.

Are these socks itchy?
Not at all! Merino wool is incredibly soft, making the socks perfect for all-day comfort.

Can I wear these socks year-round?
Yes! Merino naturally regulates temperature, keeping your feet warm in winter and cool in summer.

Are they unisex?
Yes, all our socks are unisex – simply match your shoe size with our Size Guide.

How do I wash merino socks?
Sizing will be correct after the first wash. We recommend a quick, cold machine wash. They should be washed separately, or in a hosiery and lingerie wash bag so they do not catch on other garments. They should then be air-dried in the shade. For further information on how to best care for, and store your socks, please see: Caring For Your Socks and Apparel

Where are your socks made?
All our socks are made at our factory in Crookwell, NSW. For more information about how our socks are made, please see: Sock Construction

How do I know if these socks are right for me?
For help selecting a sock style that best suits your needs, please see Selecting Your Style. If you still have questions, please contact us – we’re here to help!

KONG Tug Toy
This tug toy is decent but not amazing. It’s sturdy enough for light play, but it doesn’t hold up as well as other KONG toys we’ve used. My dog enjoyed it, but the material started to wear faster than expected, and it didn’t feel as durable as the usual KONG quality. It’s fine for occasional tug sessions, but not the best choice for strong pullers or heavy chewers.

Best toy for a puppy who loves tug-o-war
My puppy (lab/shepherd) went nuts for this toy. She loves to play tug-o-war. This is so durable and the grip handles on the end totally help you out. She loves to bit in the middle and will whip it at you to get you to engage with her. The size is perfect for her and the KONG material must feel good for her.

GREAT DOG TOY INDESTRUCTIBLE!
Best dog toy yet! My large breed year old pup is very hard on toys and this one stands up to the wild playing and chewing! Excellent purchase I’ll definitely buy it again to have extras around and I’d definitely give it as a gift! Happy dog happy life! GREAT PRODUCT

Kong didn't survive this guy.
He had it for an hour.. We played tug for around 10 minutes then he took it off and chewed it up.. I thought Kongs were tougher to chew up.. very dissapointed.

One of the best dog toys we've found
This is one of my little girl's favorite toys. She's an aggressive chewer so at first we followed the manufacturers instructions not to let her use as a chew toy. It was purchased in January 2025, but it's holding up just fine. She likes to turn it into a pretzel for some reason, but hey it keeps her entertained! Highly recommend.
