Overview
Sheldon Manufacturing Reciprocating Water Baths deliver precise temperature control and a smooth reciprocal shaking motion. Temperature and oscillation controls feature an easy to read P.I.D. microprocessor temperature controller and an independent safety thermostat.
The bath may be used with or without oscillation. Shaking speed is variable from 20 to 200 oscillations per minute, and the stroke length can be adjusted to three separate settings: 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5 inches to minimize the chance of accidental spillage. Also, the unique basket support system is designed to eliminate tank wear, yet still provide full support and free action for a heavily loaded basket.
A durable finish on the housing prevents corrosion and chipping. In addition to having a stainless steel tank, the bath platform tray is designed for optimum temperature uniformity. Maximum temperature is achieved using the stainless steel gable cover, which is designed to prevent condensate from dripping onto samples and assures uniform temperature conditions.

FAQ
What environmental conditions (ambient temperature, ambient humidity, etc.) can the SWBR shaking water baths be operated in?
The SWBR series shaking water baths are intended for indoor use between 18°C and and 40°C and no more than 80% relative humidity. The SWBR should not be operated at an altitude exceeding 2000 meters. If you would like an SWBR shaking water bath which can be operated outside of these conditions, please contact us and let us know your requirements.
Is the temperature control open-loop or closed-loop?
The SWBR Shaking Water Baths use a microprocessor-based closed loop temperature controller.
