Scala Perfetta left handed is actually a completely different instrument compared to a regular Scala Perfetta violin. Yes it is made in Europe with the use of machinery but the left handed here for the first time on sale has been treated like a master made violin. We fitted a perfect bassbar on the “other side inside the top exactly underneath the G string on the right side. Than we set the neck at perfection and set up the entire instrument with lots of TLC (tender love care) as we do on all our instruments. The result is a almost master made violin sound which will make a left handed person a happy violinist.

More than 20 years ago, the idea to create an instrument which comes directly from a violin workshop from Cremona with an accessible price, has been the beginning. To obtain a very constant quality Edgar Russ  collaborates in Europe with several carefully selected manufacturing workshops. Under the Master Russ’ direction, these instruments are inspected, refinished, varnished, and set up in his workshop in Cremona. Then, the instruments are carefully checked so that they are easy to play, balanced across the four strings, and have a powerful sound.
