High-Performance 2B&S (32mm²) Automotive Cable for Heavy-Duty Power Systems

Reliable power delivery is the backbone of any 12V, 24V, or 48V electrical setup. This 100m Roll of KEY 2B&S (32mm²) Black Single Core Automotive Cable is engineered to meet the rigorous demands of Australian automotive, marine, and industrial environments. Featuring Oxygen Free High Conductivity (OFHC) copper, this cable offers superior electrical performance compared to standard starter cables, ensuring that your accessories, batteries, and starter motors receive the current they need without excessive voltage drop.

Designed for auto electricians and serious enthusiasts, this 100-meter roll provides a cost-effective solution for large-scale wiring projects, fleet maintenance, or workshop inventory. With a substantial 32mm² cross-sectional area (approx. 2B&S) and a continuous rating of 190A, it serves as a robust foundation for dual battery systems, winch power supplies, and high-output alternator wiring.

About KEY Tubing & Electrical

KEY Tubing & Electrical (KTE) is an Australian-owned manufacturer with over 60 years of industry experience supplying electrical, cable, tubing, and custom-engineered solutions to industries across Australia and around the world. Based in South Australia, KEY is known for its commitment to quality manufacturing, rigorous quality standards, and reliable products designed for demanding automotive, electrical, industrial, and resource sector applications. KEY continues to support Australian industry with a strong focus on performance, durability, and dependable engineering.

The Oxygen-Free Copper Advantage

Not all copper cables are created equal. This series utilises OFHC copper, which is refined to remove oxygen and impurities that typically impede electron flow. In standard "tough pitch" copper, impurities can lead to increased resistance and heat generation under load.

Furthermore, OFHC copper exhibits exceptional resistance to hydrogen embrittlement. In high-temperature environments or specific atmospheric conditions, standard copper can become brittle and prone to cracking, leading to circuit failure. By choosing OFHC, you are investing in a conductor that maintains its mechanical integrity and flexibility, ensuring long-term reliability even in vibrating vehicle chassis or engine bays. This high purity also makes it an excellent choice for high-fidelity car audio installations where signal integrity and power stability are paramount.

Engineered for High-Current 12V, 24V, and 48V Systems

While commonly used for 12V automotive applications, the specifications of this cable allow for much greater versatility. Rated for a maximum DC voltage of 120V, this cable is fully compatible with modern 24V truck systems and emerging 48V lithium battery banks. The substantial 190A current rating (at 30°C) allows it to handle significant power surges from starter motors and sustained loads from inverters or DC-DC chargers. Using an undersized cable for these applications can result in dangerous overheating and significant power loss.

*Typical de-rating factors apply relative to ambient temperature and installation grouping.

Australian Standards Compliance and Durability

Safety and compliance are non-negotiable in professional installations. This cable is manufactured to AS/NZS 1125 for the conductor and AS/NZS 3808:2000 for the insulation material. The V90 grade insulation is capable of withstanding operating temperatures up to 90°C, providing a critical safety margin in hot engine compartments.

The outer sheath is durable yet flexible, with a nominal outer diameter of 10.7mm. It resists abrasion, oil, and common automotive chemicals. The internal conductor consists of 455 strands of 0.30mm wire, a configuration that offers the perfect balance between flexibility for routing through tight grommets and the density required for heavy current carrying capacity.

Ideal Applications

  • Dual Battery Linking: Efficiently charge auxiliary batteries in utes, caravans, and 4WDs.
  • Starter and Alternator Wiring: Replace corroded or undersized factory wiring to improve starting performance.
  • High-Power Inverters: Supply clean power to 1000W+ inverters without tripping low-voltage alarms due to cable loss.
  • Industrial DC Projects: Reliable cabling for solar banks and off-grid control systems.
  • Negative Grounding: Specifically coloured for easy identification of earth return circuits.

Heather's story
Format: Paperback
3 stars - This is the second book in the Elena Abbott Shifters series. In Book Two, we get to know Heather McKenna. She was cursed by a witch, paid by her mother, so she couldn’t shift. Heather was told her whole life that being a shifter was abnormal and made her a monster. She was made to feel ashamed and unworthy. She didn’t find acceptance with her human family or with other wolf shifters when she finally left to forge her own path in the world. Her pack put her at the very bottom of the hierarchy and treated her poorly because what good is a wolf shifter who can’t shift? When this book starts, we learn that Wren, her new Alpha, has helped her release her wolf from the curse. Heather is having a difficult time accepting herself and finding peace with her wolf. She receives a call from her sister informing her that their mother is in the hospital and she needs to come. Their parting wasn’t on good terms. Heather hopes to find closure with her mom and sister and decides to go, despite Wren’s objections. V is a member of the Raines pack and also the child of the pack Alpha. Just like in the first book, we discover that this pack is governed by a strict hierarchy of dominance and submission. The Alpha’s word is law. V and their father do not see eye to eye. V’s non-binary identity and attraction to women are not respected by their father, who insists that they mate with Sinclair, the pack enforcer. As one might expect, Sinclair is terrible, and V wants nothing to do with him. V and Heather meet when V is called to the hospital to handle a potential rogue wolf, who turns out to be Heather. She is struggling to control her emotions and her wolf during the full moon. V immediately recognizes that Heather is their true fated mate. However, it takes Heather, who is not as in tune with her alter ego, a bit longer to come around. I enjoyed the story, but I must admit that it dragged a bit for me because Heather’s self-esteem is extremely low. She believes she is unworthy of anyone’s love or respect. She thinks she is broken and burdensome. She takes responsibility for and apologizes for everything, most of which she is not responsible for. One of my least favorite tropes is one-sided decision-making, like when a character decides, “I am not worth all the trouble I am causing. They can do better than me. I am doing them a favor by leaving.” Then they leave without giving the other person in the relationship a chance to make any decisions for themselves. Heather’s negative self-talk persists for at least half the book. I found myself skimming through these internal monologues because my tolerance for them is low. The book picks up in the second half, and I enjoyed the action scenes and the ending. I love how Wren’s new pack is starting to fill up with like-minded wolves, and I look forward to the next installment in the series. Thank you Netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for the ARC and the opportunity to leave a review.

Paranormal Werewolf Shifter Romance
Format: Paperback
Really good second book in this series. This is the story about Heather whose a werewolf shifter who couldn't shift, but gets help from a witch and an alpha werewolf that brings out her wolf , but she goes rogue after shifting and runs. When Heather and V meet they know that they are each others mate, but there's problems from the beginning. There's a lot of violence, drama and angst in this story, so I would say buckle up for a wild ride.. I would definitely recommend this book and I look forward to what's next in this series from this author.

Format: Paperback
This is a shifter romance that features a non-binary wolf whose father, an Alpha, is stuck in the old ways of running a pack. In comes Heather, featured within the previous installment of the series, who doubts herself and has self-hatred due to her strained relationship with her mother. There are werewolves, witches, dominants and submissives. It's a slow building romance at first and then full steam ahead. For those who are triggered by self-doubt, you may want to pass this up as well as those who hate the mention of the phrase mate or my mate. It is a good second installment of the series with enough open ended content to have a third book on the horizon.
