Looking to get into lead climbing? Great! Our Intro to Lead Climbing Clinic is designed to give you the tools needed for safely leading sport routes. All we ask is that you come ready… to have a really good time in the company of rad, supportive women.
To start off this lead climbing clinic, we’ll dive into a comprehensive overview of lead climbing fundamentals, including gear selection, safety, clipping, proper rope use, and more. After about an hour of ground instruction, you’ll be up to speed and ready to rock it (on the rock) for real.
What to expect:
At the crag, we will set up top-ropes on routes ranging from 5.5 - 5.9 and provide the opportunity to mock-lead climbs. Mock-leads are simulated lead climbs that allow you to practice clipping quickdraws and managing ropes from the security of a top rope.
