ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The Daughters of Eve and Lilith reveals the truth about the history of women and proposes living with greater freedom, without the burden of interpretation and invention.

Why retell the story of Eve? What for? Who is Lilith? Where did she come from? And how do they relate to me in the present?

Elisa Queijeiro, a contributor to Martha Debayle's program and Algarabía magazine, debunks the myth of Eve as the cause of the expulsion from paradise.

The Daughters of Eve and Lilith reveals the truth about the history of women and proposes living with greater freedom, without the burden of interpretation and invention. Elisa Queijeiro approaches myths from all angles, knowing their importance for the emergence of peoples, but also that a partial and biased view of them has limited us as women and prevented our fulfillment for many centuries. This book reveals details such as that there was never an apple in Eden and that the serpent deceived no one; that there was not just one valuable and forbidden tree, but two, and that the expulsion from Paradise was a consequence of the wisdom acquired, not of the disobedience committed.

Elisa Queijeiro explains that Eve knew what she was doing, and tells us that there was another wife of Adam, the beautiful and sensual Lilith--the first woman according to Hebrew myth--who after arguing for her equality, abandoned him and, over time, was turned into a demon: so much freedom and courage were not a good idea!

Throughout history, Eve was misrepresented and Lilith was silenced. We are their daughters, and therefore their legacy. It is time to understand them and transform ourselves. In this book, 15 archetypes depict the woman of the 21st century and show the evolution that is worth living.

Doesn't Fit 16" Laptop
Color: C-apricot, Size: 14 Inch
My Dell laptop is 9" wide & 14" long. I can only zip up the back partially with my laptop in the backpack. I don't add anything else that is heavy because I'm fearful it will break. I wish it was bigger. I can fit my Apple laptop in it but it is smaller.
