PolyCast™ is a filament specifically designed to produce investment patterns which burn away Ash-Free™ for quick design iteration, metal prototyping and unique one-off castings. 3D printing with PolyCast™ significantly cuts down both the cost and lead time by eliminating the tooling process.

Note: PolyCast™ is sensitive to moisture. We recommend that PolyCast™ be printed with the PolyBox™ and to keep the filament at dry conditions (relative humidity of 15% or less) at all times to maintain the best printing and casting results.

Features

  • Ash-Free™ Burnout - PolyCast™ features Ash-free™ technology which enables patterns to burn off cleanly without any residue, enabling defect-free metal parts. PolyCast™ typically leaves an ash residue of 0.003% when burnt out at temperatures >600˚C. 
  • Low Cost - PolyCast™ is a cost-effective solution, with a lower cost compared to other 3D printing technologies (e.g. SLA/SLS/MJP/Binder Jetting). 
  • Effortless Post-processing - PolyCast™ can be effortlessly post-processed in the Polysher™ (sold separately) reducing layering and delivering superior surface quality.
  • Easy-to-print - PolyCast™ is compatible with most 3D printers, printing under similar conditions to PLA with no heated bed or chamber required.
  • Uncompromised Quality - Polymakers leading quality control process and rigorous in-house testing, ensure reliable printing and consistency across spools and batches.

  • Nozzle temperature: 190˚C – 220˚C
  • Build surface material:  Glass, Blue Tape and more
  • Build surface treatment:  None required, can apply PVA glue to the build surface
  • Build surface temperature:  25˚C - 70˚C
  • Cooling fan: ON
  • Printing speed: 40mm/s-60mm/s
  • Recommended support material (optional):  PolyDissolve™ S1

Can easily hide towels
Works nicely. I have it mounted with towels hanging on the inside of my cabinet so you see only the small hooks on the outside of the cabinet door. It extends nicely and has ample room for one towel folded in half on each bar; you would have to fold each towel again to get 2 side by side. Only minor issue the hooks extend over the door a little lower than I'd like and they are beveled outward on the bottom so you see this on the outside. I have a similar design single bar rack with smaller less noticeable hooks. Neither one is completely invisible but at least I can hide the towels and not cover up my new beautiful stainless range or cabinets with towels. Worth the money.
