What is new with Cataplex B-Core?
The serving size was increased from two tablets per day to four tablets per day. This was done to reflect a more proper daily dose, and to deliver increased levels of thiamin and folate.
Why are B vitamins important to our health?
B vitamins function as coenzymes and cofactors that facilitate various cellular processes including nucleic acid synthesis, red blood cell formation, energy production, vital cellular growth, nerve, and muscle function. They are critical in regulating key metabolic pathways essential for health.
What are the sources of B vitamins in Cataplex B-Core?
The B vitamins are derived from rice bran, wheat germ, yeast, and liver.
Why did SP include calcium stearate and ascorbic acid in the formula?
Ascorbic acid was included as a preservative and calcium stearate is required as a lubricant to maintain consistency and ensure a high-quality tablet. Calcium stearate is sourced from palm oil and is expected to dissociate during digestion into calcium and stearic acid, a common dietary fat.1
What types of cellular processes do thiamin and folate support?
Thiamin is involved in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Thiamin regulates heart muscle function and several cellular energy generating cycles. Folate is important in red blood cell formation, homocysteine clearance, protein metabolism, and healthy cellular growth and function.
