However, Rav Berg reminds us that the purpose of the Bible is not religion, instead the Bible is a code that describes the spiritual machinations of this physical world. He says:

“The essential reason of sacrifice is not to appease God but to cleanse ourselves; to clean ourselves of corrupted DNA that we brought upon ourselves.”
