Why You'll Love It

The Noir Astra Halo Pendant is a study in contrast — the deep, iridescent darkness of a Tahitian black pearl, encircled by a complete halo of 15 brilliant lab-grown diamonds in D–F color. The pearl absorbs light; the diamonds radiate it. Together they create a pendant of extraordinary visual tension — dark and bright, ancient and modern, understated and unmistakable. Suspended from a bold anchor chain in solid 14K gold, the Noir Astra wears with the confidence of a piece that knows exactly what it is.

Our Story

In our Queens atelier, the Noir Astra began with a single question: what is the most dramatic thing a diamond can do? The answer was not to shine alone — but to surround something that doesn't shine at all. The Tahitian black pearl at the center of this pendant absorbs every photon the 15 D–F diamonds throw at it, creating a darkness so deep it reads almost like a void. The anchor chain below amplifies the drama — bold, architectural, unapologetically present. This is a pendant for someone who understands that true luxury is not about brightness. It is about depth.

The Anchor Chain

The Noir Astra is set on a bold anchor chain — a departure from the delicate cable chains of our other pendants. The anchor chain's wide, flat links catch light differently from every angle, creating a dynamic interplay between chain and pendant that elevates the entire piece. It is a chain that makes a statement before the pendant even comes into view.

Perfect For

Statement jewelry lovers · Pearl jewelry enthusiasts · Anniversary and milestone gifts · Self-gifting · Evening and occasion wear · The person who wears black and means it

Styling Tips

The compact 10.5mm × 7.7mm pendant wears with surprising presence — the contrast between the black pearl and the diamond halo reads clearly even at a distance. Wear at 16" for a collarbone-grazing statement. The anchor chain pairs beautifully with other bold gold pieces — stack with a thick gold bangle or wear with statement earrings for a fully editorial look. All three gold colors work powerfully: yellow gold for warmth and richness, white gold for a cool high-contrast editorial edge, rose gold for a romantic modern drama.

Best book for beginners to learn safe practices in single pitch climbing
Format: Paperback
Great book for beginner climbers, especially those who want to set up top ropes. Goes over anchor setup, knots, gear placement, belaying, rappelling, etc. Lots of good photos. Very easy to read, don’t be put off by the description as a “manual”, and worth reading to learn how to do things safely. It’s definitely not just for those who want to guide or take AMGA courses. If you are debating getting this book or “Top roping” by the same author, get this one, as it contains 100% of the content in the other book (much of the exact same text and photos) and more, and is just as easy to read. In fact, this has a ton of overlap (and many of the same photos) with “Climbing Anchors” which the author co-authored, but is more accessible and spans a wider range of content. If you are the “leader” of your beginner climbing friends or even if you have some experience but want to take a beginner climbing outside, this is a must read.

Perfect reference guide
Format: Paperback
I bought this book to supplement my lessons with an AMGA guide to learn how to set up toprope climbs. I used it many times to practice and reinforce everything I learned. It is really well written and my favorite book in terms of the knowledge contained within. As common sense would dictate this is not a book to teach your how to toprope...it is a reference to what you have learned?

Essential To Read Before the Class
Format: Paperback
This book provides a good overview of what you'll need to know for your AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) course and assessment. If you plan to take that course this book is a no-brainer. You just have to buy it and read it. There are a few shortcomings: * The photos of how to tie the knots skip a lot and it is impossible to learn the knots from the book. * The photos of what not to do should be clearly labeled with a red cross bar or WRONG overlay on the photo. If you flip causally through the book and look at the photos some very wrong stuff is there and you have to read the text to know that it is not recommended. * The religious debate on anchor systems rages on. Should you set up a Joshua Tree System with Tether or a Backside System? I realize the AMGA doesn't want to pick sides and will say either is acceptable, but the book doesn't even try to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various anchor systems.
