The Daiwa Free Swimmer FRSW5000D-C Spinning Reels are named so due to the Air Rotor design that is known for it's stability, strength, and responsiveness. The Air Rotor boasts a sleek design, making it 15% lighter compared to standard rotors. The arched profile of the Air Rotor relieves strain caused by the line and the line roller under load, while at the same time, eliminating vibration thanks to a lowered center of gravity for optimal winding smoothness.
The Free Swimmer also features Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag System(ATD). The ATD System uses improved drag grease that changes viscosity during use, gradually becoming more viscous under a load. This lowers initial inertia and ensures a super-smooth drag at all times. Construction of the Free Swimmer includes a lightweight, all aluminum frame, and features Daiwa's Digigear technology.
The gears on the Digigear system are 20% - 40% larger compared to that of the competition. Additionally, the gears have a larger tooth pattern, resulting in a longer gear life of up to three times that of competitive reels. The Free Swimmer sports a machined aluminum handle with a Power Round EVA knob to produce extra leverage. The Free Swimmer is lightweight, long lasting, and powerful, perfect for your next fishing adventure.
