Dayco’s patented flat spring design minimizes tension fluctuations, reducing the risk of premature accessory bearing failure from over-tension and eliminating belt noise, slippage, or poor performance from a lack of tension. Inside the spring, a PTFE string helps dampen vibration and resists abrasion for quieter operation. Constructed with a rugged cast aluminum case and arm, this tensioner resists fatigue and cracking even under tough conditions. Features like a steel pivot tube, thermoplastic rubber spring slot plugs, rubber O-ring seals, and zinc-coated mounting bolts all help resist wear and corrosion.
