Texturen in pittige bruintinten, koele neutrale tinten en groene tinten varen en krokodil nestelen zich op een mysterieuze ebbenhouten ondergrond. Geïnspireerd door een schildpadprint van Ardmore die lijkt op een gestileerde ster, creëerden de kunstenaars van Cole & Son een geometrische herhaling in uitbarsting.

Kalahari's visuele compositie is bijna als een partituur, een ordelijk ritme onderbroken door de resonerende dreunen van grotere vormen en een cadans van kleinere silhouetten. Spelend met perspectief en focus, zou het ontwerp de labyrintische markeringen op het schild van één schildpad kunnen zijn - of tientallen schildpadden verzameld aan de rand van een drinkplaats.

De ets van Kalahari's print creëert een aquareleffect, waarbij de organische vormen en lijndiktes warmte en vitaliteit toevoegen, gevolgd door een stencilachtige omtrek voor een eigentijdse frisheid.
