De wijn heeft een heldere robijnrode kleur. In de neus komen aroma's van vers rood fruit zoals kersen en frambozen naar voren. Het gehemelte is rond, met een zijdezachte tanninestructuur en een evenwichtige zuurgraad die de fruitige smaken verlevendigt. De afdronk is fris en elegant, met subtiele kruidige nuances.Vinificatie
De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en zorgvuldig gesorteerd, waarna ze 100% worden ontsteeld. Vervolgens ondergaan ze een koude maceratie van ongeveer een week in betonnen vaten bij temperaturen onder 10°C. Naarmate de temperatuur stijgt, begint de alcoholische fermentatie, waarbij kleur en fruitige aroma's worden geëxtraheerd door over te pompen. Na een maceratieperiode van drie weken rijpt de wijn gedurende 12 maanden in Franse eikenhouten vaten, waarvan 15% nieuw is. Daarna wordt de wijn geblend in roestvrijstalen tanks en na 18 maanden gebotteld na lichte filtratie.Wijngaard en Terroir
De wijngaarden zijn gelegen in de Maranges, ten westen van Santenay, en op grotere hoogte nabij Saint-Aubin. De bodem bestaat uit klei en mergelkalksteen, wat bijdraagt aan de mineraliteit en complexiteit van de wijn. De wijnstokken hebben een gemiddelde leeftijd van 45 jaar, wat resulteert in een beperkte opbrengst van ongeveer 7.500 flessen per jaar, maar met een hoge concentratie en kwaliteit.Serveertemperatuur en Gastronomische Combinaties
Serveer deze wijn op een temperatuur van 14-16°C. De Hautes Côtes de Beaune is een uitstekende begeleider van gevogelte, lichte vleesgerechten en zachte kazen. Bananas from Amazon! Yes!
During a recent surprise deep freeze on the way, I tried to find bananas and couldn't find them any where and decided just to check on Amazon and there they were! Bananas! I was so happy! And they were good! I have almost gave them a 4 star instead of a 5 star because I usually like to get my bananas a little bit on the slightly still green place so they were last several day. But Amazon didn't know that. They were very fresh and a great value for the money! They were in good condition! I was so pleased! And I would not hesitate to order fruit from Amazon again. They tasted great! Fresh bananas from Amazon! Who would have thought it!
