De Classic Mini II is de korte uitvoering van de iconische UGG-laars, met een schachthoogte van zo'n 13 centimeter die net boven de enkel eindigt en het silhouet laag en draagbaar houdt. Het bovenwerk bestaat uit 17mm Twinface schapenvacht, een materiaal waarbij de suède buitenzijde en de wollen voering uit één stuk vacht komen, zonder aparte tussenlaag. Diezelfde 17mm schapenvacht bekleedt de binnenkant en de inlegzool en reguleert de temperatuur in plaats van louter te isoleren, zodat de voet warm blijft zonder te oververhitten. De naden zijn afgewerkt met een overlock-stiksel en gerecyclede polyester bies, terwijl een leren hiellabel het geëmbosseerde UGG-logo draagt. Achterop zit een treklus die het aantrekken vergemakkelijkt. Onder de voet ligt de nieuwe Treadlite by UGG-zool, die meer grip, demping en flexibiliteit geeft dan de oudere constructie. Het Twinface is bovendien water- en vlekafstotend behandeld, wat de laars geschikter maakt voor dagelijks gebruik dan veel mensen van UGG verwachten.

De Classic Mini II valt aanvankelijk nauw omdat de schapenvacht zich nog moet zetten. Tijdens de eerste keren dragen comprimeert de vacht en vormt zich naar de voet, waardoor de laars na inlopen ongeveer een halve maat ruimer aanvoelt. Het model wordt voornamelijk in hele maten aangeboden, dus draag je normaal een halve maat, dan kun je het beste een maat naar beneden kiezen. Over de wreef en enkel sluit de laars stevig zonder te knellen, en dankzij de korte schacht stap je er moeiteloos in. Reken op een pasvorm die de eerste dagen krapper voelt dan na een week dragen.

Draag de Classic Mini II met een rechte of licht getaperde jeans die net over de schacht valt, of met een wijde joggingbroek voor het luie winterbeeld. De korte schacht maakt deze UGG-laars makkelijker te combineren dan de hoge klassieker en houdt de proportie licht.

UGG begon in 1978 toen Australische surfers schapenvacht droegen om na koude sessies warm te blijven, en groeide uit tot wereldwijde autoriteit op schapenvacht. Die materiaalkennis maakt de Classic Mini II tot een laars die warmte levert zonder log te worden.

But they are sturdy shelves and very pretty. My only real complaint is the screw anchors for the walls. They are SERIOUS. I doubt these will ever fall out of the wall, for real. The only problem is, they eat the wall as you are putting them in. If I ever decide to move these, I will have to do some serious dry wall repair.
