Aanplanting

De Pinus mugo 'Ophir' is geschikt voor een koele open plaats in uw tuin.  Deze plant staat het liefst in een matig voedselrijke, vochthoudende tot vochtige, zandhoudende bodem, bestaande uit een mengsel van zand en klei/leem. Heeft een voorkeur zwak zure tot basische grond (pH = 6 - 9).

Deze pinus mugo Ophir Staat graag in een plekje in de zon en verdraagt zomerse hitte redelijk, mits de standplaats voldoende vochthoudend is. Zonder al te veel moeite ook prima in de lage landen goed te houden. Deze wintergroene tuinplant is, vanwege oppervlakkige worteling of grote vocht-/voedingopname, lastig met vaste planten te combineren.
