Het LED-display met 5 verschillende gekleurde LED's rondes van de moderne uiterlijk van de handgrepen en Dairs de bestuurder om snel te bepalen welke temperatuur is ingesteld. Een andere speciale functie van de HG17 verwarmde grepen is de laag volt batterijbescherming. Het systeem herkent wanneer de batterijspanning te laag is en schakelt vervolgens automatisch de verwarmde handgrepen uit. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de batterij nog steeds voldoende spanning heeft om de engine te starten en te bedienen.
