Glucosamine is een lichaamseigen stof die de opbouw van kraakbeen ondersteunt. Glucosamine
vermindert de pijn en verbetert de beweeglijkheid van aangetaste gewrichten bij personen met
milde tot matige artrose van de knie
Glucosamine Pharma Nord behoort tot de groep niet-steroïde anti-ontstekings en antireumatische
geneesmiddelen.

Waarvoor wordt dit middel gebruikt
Glucosamine Pharma Nord capsules worden gebruikt om de symptomen van milde tot matige artrose van de knie te verlichten.

Niet gebruiken bij
- wanneer u overgevoelig bent voor schaaldieren, aangezien de actieve stof uit schaaldieren
gewonnen wordt.
- Wanneer u overgevoelig bent voor glucosamine of één van de andere bestanddelen.

Dosering

Volwassenen en ouderen:
Neem 3 maal per dag 1 capsule (dit betekent 1200 mg glucosamine, overeenkomend met ruim 1500
mg glucosamine hemisulfaat). De dagelijkse dosis kan ook in één keer ingenomen worden. De capsule(s) moet(en) met een vol glas water worden ingenomen.
Glucosamine wordt niet aanbevolen bij acute pijn. De werking wordt meestal merkbaar binnen een aantal weken na het begin van de behandeling en in enkele gevallen langer. Als er na 2-3 maanden geen verbetering optreedt, dient de benadeling opnieuw beoordeeld te worden.

Kinderen:
Glucosamine Pharma Nord mag niet door kinderen jonger dan 18 jaar gebruikt worden zonder begeleiding van een arts.

Samenstelling
Werkzame stof: Het werkzame bestanddeel is glucosamine. Dit is aanwezig in de vorm glucosamine hemisulfaat 2KCl-kaliumchloride-complex, overeenkomend met 400 mg glucosamine (= 509 mg glucosamine hemisulfaat).
Hulpstoffen: magnesiumstearaat, gelatine en titaandioxide (E 171)

Not Quite So Durable...

Maybe I have a SUPER aggressive chewer...he went through this ball in under a week. I originally bought the ball because of a review that stated the owner's Pitbull had the same ball for two years; not so much for my Rottweiler. He started chewing off and swallowing small crumbs from the ball within a day or two. By the end of the week, it was chunks so I had to toss it in the trash to prevent an intestinal obstruction. On the up side, my Rottweiler LOVED the ball while it lasted. However, I can't, in good conscience, give this ball a rave review based on this experience. Please take this review with a grain of salt as I have yet to find ANY toy that my boy won't DESTROY in a week or two. I hope that someone finds this informative when searching for chew toys for SUPER aggressive chewers like mine.

Great for aggressive chewers - Great for clean teeth
I never thought these would stand up to my 60lb pittie puppy's chewing. But they are far and away her favorite toy and are holding up beautifully. One squeaker insert bit the dust -- which is not bad since it gives us one silent one. But otherwise they are holding up superbly to her powerful jaws. We have tried a lot of toys. So far, all the "for aggressive chewers" toys have been torn apart within days if we are lucky -- usually it's minutes. But these balls show little-to-no sign of wear. The squeakers are very loud which she loves can get a bit tiresome. So, as I mentioned, having one silent one is a great option. And she really likes the texture. She loves them so much, we bought a second set and will probably buy a third to have in reserve. (We are realistic and don't expect them to last forever.) All I have to say is "where's spiky ball" and she instantly stops what she is doing and goes on the hunt. A great buy!! (NOTE: It's been almost three months and one is just beginning to show some damage. Given that she plays with them non-stop, they've showed amazing durability. And everyone comments on how clean and beautiful her teeth are. I don't brush them or give her dental treats. So it has to be these balls!!)

Great ball but poor squeaked design

My Rottie loves these balls. The ball lasts a long time even though he plays hard and chews them. My biggest complaint is the squeaker disconnects easily from inside the ball, the glue does not hold! We have bought many of these balls because eventually the area where the squeaker is attached comes away from the ball leaving an open whole that causes the ball to eventually developed a long crack at which point it no longer is able to be thrown nor is is fun for him any longer.
