Voor nog betere prestaties is de XC RC voorzien van scheurbestendig en lekbestendig materiaal, evenals SmartGRIP-compound. Deze compound is ontwikkeld en getest op circuits over de hele wereld en geeft de band ongelooflijke grip, duurzaamheid en vloeibaarheid onder alle omstandigheden.

Het karkas is versterkt met een laag nylonweefsel op de zijwanden. ProWALLzijwanden voor lekbescherming, handling bij lage druk en grotere stabiliteit in de bochten. Het profiel is ontworpen met XC World Cup-racers in gedachten, met lage, talrijke centrale lamellen voor meer souplesse en uitgesproken laterale lamellen voor controle in de bochten.
