Aanvankelijk is Raf weinig spraakzaam, maar de achteloosheid van de natuur schudt herinneringen en aanvechtingen in hem wakker. Hoe dieper ze in het bos geraken, hoe meer de wandeling als een true-crimepodcast begint te voelen. In het haar zo vertrouwde gebied tussen feit en fictie legt De Coster in Pink Lady vlijmscherp bloot waar de oeroude angst van meisjes en vrouwen voor vreemde mannen vandaan komt – en hoe bevrijdend het kan zijn om het gevaar in de ogen te kijken.
