Of bijvoorbeeld specifiek in het voorjaar tijdens de extra risicovolle periodes dat het gras veel suikers bevat.

De inlegplaat is gemaakt van rubber achtig materiaal en is daarom zachter voor de tanden dan de originele bodem. Ook spaart de inlegplaat het graasmasker waardoor deze langer mee gaat. De Dieetplaat geeft een geschatte reductie van ongeveer 70-80% en is daarmee streng. 

Let op dat je paard niet te lang met deze inleg plaat op de weide staat  (maximaal 8u) en zorg dat de rest van de ruwvoervoorziening voldoende is om de maag en darmgezondheid te waarborgen.  Zorg er voor dat je paard voor de weidegang ook nog hooi gegeten heeft. Hooi eten met een GreenGuard graasmasker is erg lastig en met een dieet inlegplaat niet voldoende mogelijk.

De nieuwste modellen GreenGuard graasmaskers hebben uitsparingen in de het masker waar de inlegplaat goed in vast klikt. Heb je een ouder graasmasker van voor 2022, dan kun je de lederen inlegplaat zonder kliksysteem gebruiken.

Belangrijk: Tandschade voorkomen

We adviseren het graasmasker alleen in combinatie met rubber of lederen inlegplaat te gebruiken ter bescherming van de tanden. Blijf desondanks de tanden regelmatig controleren en laat jaarlijks de tandarts komen ter controle. Naast een inlegplaat is ook de afstelling van grote invloed op de tanden. Bekijk daarom de afstelinstructie goed.

Eet je paard met erg veel druk op de bodem en de tanden, dan is het raadzaam om de tandarts vaker te laten komen ter controle.
