De Palm Angels Workwear Monogram Jeans is een van de meest herkenbare denimstukken uit de SS24-collectie: blauw katoenen denim met oversized riveted patches en een geborduurd Monogram-logo aan de achterkant als onmiskenbare handtekening van het merk. De stof is van 100% katoen, waardoor de denim de textuur en het karakter heeft die Palm Angels nastreeft in zijn workwear-lijn — zwaarder dan modedenim en daardoor eerlijker in hoe het draagt en veroudert. De patches zijn niet louter decoratief: ze verwijzen naar de workwear-esthetiek waarmee het label zijn eigen positie heeft ingenomen tussen streetwear en Italiaans vakmanschap. Vijf klassieke zakken, riemlussen, een knoopsluiting en het Palm Angels Monogram-borduursel op het achterpand completeren de constructie. De high-waisted snit zit duidelijk boven de heupcurve en versterkt het gestileerde silhouet dat de Workwear-lijn kenmerkt. Gemaakt in Italië — dezelfde productiestandaard die Palm Angels ook voor zijn tailored stukken aanhoudt.

De broek heeft een regular fit die normaal door de heup en het bovenbeen valt zonder te strak of overdreven los te worden. De high-waisted taille zorgt voor een hoger instappunt dan een midrise jeans, wat het silhouet verlengt en vraagt om een top die in de broek zit of er net boven zweeft. Het materiaal is 100% katoen zonder elastaan: geen rek in de stof, dus de maatvoering bepaalt alles en de broek valt normaal op maat. Een model van 1,90m draagt maat 32 zonder maatcorrectie nodig te hebben. Katoen kan licht krimpen bij warm wassen — was deze jeans op een koud programma en hang hem op om de pasvorm te bewaren.

Combineer de Palm Angels Workwear Monogram Jeans met een zwart slim-fit T-shirt en chunky sneakers voor een look die de riveted patches als centerpunt naar voren brengt zonder extra styling-ingrepen. The tension and banter between Huntyr and Wold was delectable. I absolutely love the fallen angel and all of his flaws. Huntyr is amazing too being a badass FMC with some major trauma. The world building was great and I enjoyed the training aspect of the story. The writing was immersive and was in the story the whole time. The injustice that we see from Alfemir in the many forms in which it comes is infuriating and makes me desperate for the conclusion of the story so they can all get what’s coming to them! I love all the guys right now, with one exception, and if you’re read it, you know exactly who I’m talking about. Bastian is hilarious - he was the comedic relief through an otherwise quite serious story. My heart bleeds for him and I can’t wait to see how he progresses through the series. Parts of Wings of Stars were unexpectedly emotional and of course I was left with my jaw on the floor at that cliffhanger! Next, please!

First, let me say that I love both of these authors. I have been hooked by both ever since I discovered their writings, and I follow their social media groups closely. This book did not disappoint. The twist on angels was new and fresh, even though that is part of my questions. The beginning and ending were the better parts, the middle was needed but sorta bogged a little. Kieran was confusing but relatable. Niz is BY FAR the best character of the book, love NIZ. For me, Bastian is a close second, always loved the crazy ones. The other men were good, but Steele gets on my nerves and as of right now, IMO, he doesn't belong, but we will see how that goes. I have lots of questions, but this was an excellent start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next book. Highly recommend
