Een witte wijn uit Portugal

Geestelijk vader van deze imposante wijn is Quinta Nova. Dit wijnhuis is misschien wel de nestor van de Portugese wijnbouw. Het wijnhuis heeft een geschiedenis van meer dan 250 jaar en heeft nog steeds het originele keldergebouw uit 1764 in gebruik. Vroeger was het domein in handen van koningen, maar sinds 1999 is het groots omvattende domein in het bezit van de grote Amorim familie. Zij hebben de laatste decennia goed geïnvesteerd in het wijnhuis en dat betaald zich vandaag de dag uit in schitterende wijnen.

Reserva Branco Douro doc 'Grainha' wijn bestellen

Het grote geheim van de wijnen van Quinta Nova vindt plaats op de wijngaarden van het wijnhuis. Het uitgestrekte domein, gelegen in het midden van UNESCO-erfgoed is een paradijs voor het oog. Keurig aangelegde wijngaarden zover het oog reikt met druiven van lokale makelij. Zoals ook die voor de Reserva Branco Douro doc 'Grainha'. Hier vormen inheemse rassen Fernao Pires, Gouveio, Rabigato en Viosinho een prachtig samenspel. De uitstekende blend in combinatie met een bijzondere houtlagering op zowel Frans als Hongaars eiken gedurende 7 maanden zorgt voor een uitmuntend glas witte wijn uit Portugal.

However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end. I think it has the bones of being a great story but seems like it was rushed and I had to push myself to finish the last of the book and was left with an unsatisfying ending.
