Deze plant krijgt zijn benaming doordat de bladeren ervan verkleuren in de zon en gele bloempjes krijgt. Deze plant heeft een luchtzuiverende eigenschap. Het is geen eenvoudige plant om te verzorgen, daar deze wel wat specifieke eisen stelt aan zijn standplaats. Zo houdt deze plant van veel licht, maar zeker niet van directe zon en niet te dicht tegen de radiator tocht beloop.

De Dypsis Lutescens, of net iets eenvoudiger: de Goudpalm uit Madagaskar. Deze plant krijgt zijn benaming doordat de bladeren ervan verkleuren in de zon en gele bloempjes krijgt. Deze plant heeft een luchtzuiverende eigenschap. 

Het is geen eenvoudige plant om te verzorgen, daar deze wel wat specifieke eisen stelt aan zijn standplaats. Zo houdt deze plant van veel licht, maar zeker niet van directe zon en niet te dicht tegen de radiator/tocht/beloop. Hij houdt ervan om steeds in licht vochtige grond te staan. Indien je deze rakker goed verzorgd kan deze zeer groot worden en tot aan het plafond klimmen. 

Verzorging: veel/indirect zonlicht - 2 a 3 maal per week (beetje) water geven (licht vochtige grond) - af en toe sproeien
