Hij is uitgerust met een 5x optische en 3x digitale zoom en een 32 mm lens, zodat de vergroting gemakkelijk iets van ver weg naar dichtbij kan halen. Hij heeft een spectrumbereik van 450 - 1100 nm, zodat je het spectrum binnen dit bereik kunt aanpassen.Omdat er in bepaalde situaties geen restlicht aanwezig is, is de monoculair uitgerust met een ingebouwde, vrij instelbare infraroodverwarming. Hoe hoger het infraroodverlichtingsniveau (max. 9), hoe groter de kijkafstand. Uiteraard is de kijker voorzien van een handmatige scherpstelfunctie en een vizier.
Als je hem overdag wilt gebruiken, raden we je aan de lensdop op de lens te plaatsen, omdat deze is uitgerust met een kleurenfilter. Het kan geen kwaad om de dop overdag van de lens te verwijderen, maar zonder dit kleurenfilter worden je foto's en video's volledig roze.
Sla alles wat je als foto of video op het toestel ziet op een (niet meegeleverde) microSD-kaart op. Je kunt deze rechtstreeks afspelen/weergeven via het kleurenscherm of overdragen naar een computer of tv via de AV-uitgang.
De polsriem maakt hem comfortabel en zorgt voor een stabiele kijkervaring. De met rubber beklede behuizing zorgt voor een stevige grip en bescherming. Met de schroefdraad van 1/4" aan de onderzijde kun je het apparaat op een statief plaatsen. De weaver/picatinny-railadapter kan aan de linkerkant van de monoculair worden bevestigd voor het geval dat deze nodig is.

Puts out a lot of light!
Style: 220 Lumens
I had to have an explosion proof light, and this one puts out an amazing amount of light! On flood light ( second push of button) it lights up an amazing amount of area around you. The spotlight will hit a tree in my back yard while standing in the front yard. Very impressive!

Very useful if you don't want to explode!
Style: 90 Lumens
Found the unit a bit difficult to adjust on the hard hat but got it dial in eventually. Also impacted by the need to mount goggles on the helmet, that might be rare, but this was my situation working around chemicals.
nice and bright. batteries last a couple of days with intermittent use approx. 3.5hrs a day.
A bit of a pain to unscrew the cover on batteries but that's the nature of the beast to make sure no sparks escape.
Would highly recommend the product. Most other comparable products are around double the price.
BTW, the packaging looked like the driver dropped it on the road and ran over it a couple times...but it still worked.
UPDATE #1: After a few months of usage, the height adjustment is starting to fail. As I walk, the light begins to droop until it's shining down in front of me. Dissappointed that the adjustment didn't last longer. I might be able to discover a way to lock it back in, but have not taken the time to examine the mechanism yet.
UPDATE #2 9-2018: The adjustment problem has now reach its ultimate end. The hinge on bottom has basically disintegrated. Now, when I put batteries in and tighten the screw, the bottom hinge pops loose. The product is no longer usable. The hinge is just cheap plastic, that is a shame, I kind of expected better from nightstick. However, it still seems to be the best option vs. price available so I am planning to order it again. Hope I can get 3 years of intermittent use out of the next one. I do really like it when it is working...lite and bright.
