De Monte Tondo, Romeo "V" Rosso Veronese is eigenlijk een amarone, een wijn gemaakt van gedroogde druiven en één van de bekendste en kostbaarste wijnen van Italië. De wijn voldoet echter niet alle strenge voorschriften en kreeg daarom niet het officiële label. De wijnmaker had een eigen visie en koos voor druiven met een eigen karakter, die hij verwerkte tot deze Monte Tondo in een beperkte oplage van 4000 flessen. De Monte Tondo, Romeo "V" Rosso Veronese laat zich karakteriseren door veel fruit en elegantie. Geniet van deze bijzondere wijn met wilde kazen of gegrild vlees.

Wijnhuis Monte Tondo

De wijngaarden van Monte Tondo zijn te vinden in de glooiende heuvels van Soave en Valpolicella, slechts een paar kilometer van Verona. De familie Magnabosco bezit 25 ha. Op de beste percelen die het Soave – en Valpolicella gebied kan bieden. De witte druiven, voornamelijk Garganega, groeien op een vulkanische grond en geven de Soave’s van Monte Tondo de typische intense geur, droge smaak en frisse afdronk. De jonge Valpolicella is licht en fruitig van smaak, met een relatief hoge zuurgraad en heerlijk om bijvoorbeeld in de zomer licht gekoeld te drinken. Voor de Valpolicella Ripasso gebruikt men de typische Ripasso techniek uit Veneto: men produceert eerst een Amarone wijn van ingedroogde druiven. Het overblijfsel hiervan, zoals druivenpulp, wat suikers en kleurstof, wordt vervolgens toegevoegd aan de jonge Valpolicella. Hierdoor ontstaat een wijn met meer complexiteit en body. Tot slot ligt de Valpolicella Ripasso een aantal maanden in vaten van Frans eikenhout.

I love this brand & expected more, especially for the price. the gloves are super bulky and uncomfortable. they’re hard to get on and off and have a strange feeling when on because of the gel lining. they also smell odd. i wore them so about a week with several different creams/balms/lotions etc. i woke up with them off multiple times which makes me know that i was uncomfortable in them during my sleep. they also caused a weird breakout on my hands up to my wrists that took over a week to go away with the help of cortisone. it was like hives but more rash like. i didn’t bother attempting to return them and decided to throw them out. waste of money, time & ended up with a rash at the end. they did make my hands softer and helped with my cracked skin but at what cost?

So my experience is that they are very difficult to get on and once they're on they really bugged me after awhile I need to get them off, but they're very difficult to get off without turning the gloves inside out. ...then you have to try get them turned back to right side out... in the end I tried them and then thought I would try them one more time but they were such a pain in the rear that I ended up tossing them in the trash because I waited too long to be able to return them. One of my saddest purchases from Amazon!
