Baron Fuenté werd in 1967 opgericht door Gabriel Baron en zijn Spaanse echtgenote Dolores Fuentes. In die tijd werd een start gemaakt met slechts een hectare wijngaarden, die zij kregen van de vader van Gabriel ter ere van hun huwelijk. Vandaag de dag is het Champagnehuis in het bezit van vijftig hectare wijngaarden. De wijngaarden bevinden zich in de gemeente Charly sur Marne en liggen op de beste percelen van dit gebied, namelijk tegen de hellingen uitkijkend over de rivier de Marne. De wijngaarden zijn beplant met de traditionele druivensoorten: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier en Chardonnay. De Champagne Baron Fuenté Esprit Grand Cru bestaat uit 55 procent Chardonnay en 45 procent Pinot Noir. De kwaliteit staat bij dit Champagnehuis altijd voorop. Alleen de beste druiven en dus het beste sap zijn goed genoeg om het Baron Fuente label te dragen. De kennis door de jaren heen doen deze kwaliteit goed. Naast hun constante groei, slepen ze jaarlijks verschillende prijzen in de wacht. Champagnes die je dus absoluut eens moet proberen.Vijf jaar houtlagering voor deze Grand Cru
Deze Grand Cru wordt lang gelagerd in de kelders van Fuente Esprit, namelijk circa vijf jaar. In de lange tijd krijgt hij een bijzonder karakter, vol, stevig, complex en zeer rijp. In de geur een prachtig boeket van appel, peer, perzik en hints van bloemen. Een wijn met een lichtgele tint, dunne en levendige bubbels. De neus is krachtig en slim met bloemnoten en fruitige hints. De smaak is soepel en evenwichtig, zeer puur. Ideale champagne voor een gastronomische maaltijd, zoals coquilles Saint-Jacques met een mousseline van champagne, eend met champignons of appeltaart.Shipping Notes

A treat, not a chewing bone. Lasts only a few minutes.
Short lived - lasts only a few minutes with our Golden's. I have used other products like Natural Pet collagen rolls which last a VERY long time with our voracious chewers.

Massive treats, no tummy rumbles, but a little pricey
I'm always a little tentative when ordering dog treats online, because you don't always know in advance where they're sourced from, or what weird processing might be done to them, or what weird additives might be thrown in. These are sourced in Mexico, and they seem to be straightforward in terms of ingredients. Phew!
The smell of these is not the best, but if you've fed your dog collagen treats before, I'm sure you know what you're getting into with that. The dogs loved them, for sure. These treats are MASSIVE, so if you have a small or medium sized dog, you might want to cut them into two or more pieces. For my 60ish pound dogs, they were very large but manageable, and the way their eyes lit up when I presented it to them, it was like Christmas. LOL
The only reason I'm docking a star is because these are not long-term chews, at least for my dogs. Yak chews will generally last for a couple of hours for them, which I break up over several days by taking the treat away after a while and giving it back to them the next day. These chews were gone within about 5-10 minutes. (Five minutes for my spazzy dog who acts like treats will disappear if they're not hoovered it into her gullet at breakneck speed, and ten minutes for the other who likes to taste his food on the way down.) At almost $6 a pop, these are pretty expensive for 5-10 minutes of enjoyment, so this isn't going to be a treat I buy for them on the regular.
There were no issues with tummy rumbles or nausea or diarrhea afterward, so that's good. And I like getting a little more collagen in these kids because they're both getting up there in age, so their hips and joints can use a little extra love. If you've got the extra money to spring for these, or if your dog paces him- or herself reasonably with dog treats, this could be a good choice for you.

Dog loves them, no rawhide!
My dog is obsessed with these! We have a 70 pound pit mix who is a power chewer and these rolls last forever. He goes crazy for the peanut butter taste and it takes him a couple of days to really destroy one entirely. They are very effective for keeping him busy as the size is massive. I like giving him something so large because he then sets his mind to it for a long time. I like that they have a lot of collagen in them, I can't say I've noticed that his coat is a great deal shinier but it can't hurt! I also like that these are rawhide free. I would say these are a good value as they keep him busy for a good amount of time.
