Installatie

🔴 Moeilijkheidsgraad: moeilijk · ~150 minuten. Voor deze grote ingreep heb je een heatgun of warmtematje, Pentalobe P2-bit, Tri-point Y000-bit, pleks, zuignap, schroef-organisator en verse waterdichte sealtape nodig om het toestel netjes te kunnen openen en daarna weer te sluiten.

Hoeft echt geen enkel onderdeel uit mijn oude housing over?
De meeste sub-componenten zitten al in deze klep; je moet wel logic board, batterij, scherm, taptic engine en luidspreker overzetten. Reken dus op een complete teardown.

Wat is het voordeel van een voorgemonteerde achterklep?
Je hoeft geen losse flexkabels, knopjes en spoel over te zetten — die slijten of scheuren bij demontage vaak. Tijd- en risicowinst voor reparateurs.

Is de waterdichtheid behouden?
Alleen als je verse sealtape rondom aanbrengt en zorgvuldig werkt. Zelfs dan ligt het doorgaans onder de oorspronkelijke fabriekstolerantie.

RED & BLACK PANTS BLEED WHEN DRY AND WILL RUIN WHATEVER THEY TOUCH

These are very cute and flattering pants, but the first I wore them they turned everything they touched pink. The tops of my sneakers where they touched are now pink. The case of my cell phone that I slipped into my back pocket is now permanently pink. Apparently this is called “crocking” and occurs because there is a heavy excess of "unbound" dye on the surface of the fibers that was never properly rinsed or set during manufacturing. To fix this, I’ll have to go through a two-step process to strip away the excess surface dye and then chemically "lock" what remains. The needed specialized detergent and fixative products will cost another $20 (not to mention the pink sneakers and phone case). The process will take a couple of hours. I suspect the same dry bleeding would happen with other dark colors of these pants. Save yourself the hassle and buy a better, pricier pant in the first place. It’s very disappointing because they fit is great. They do stretch a size or two in the butt and thighs but the waist doesn’t stretch, which is good.
