De cohesieve biëlastische fixatiezwachtel met bijzonder rekgedrag kleeft aan zichzelf, niet aan huid of haar.
Mollelast haft is lengte-elastisch en overdwars rekbaar, waardoor het goed zit zonder veel plooiing. Daardoor kan de zwachtel ook bij conische lichaamsdelen perfect worden aangebracht en biedt hij zelfs rond gewrichten stevig houvast, dankzij de uitstekende hechting tussen lagen. Ook bij beweging toont het product zich betrouwbaar: geen insnoeren en verschuiven.
De goede cohesieve eigenschappen zijn het gevolg van een microcoating. De zelfkant zorgt voor moeiteloos aanleggen en verhindert uitrafelen. Verder is het dun getricoteerde materiaal zeer luchtdoorlatend en huidvriendelijk.
Het verband dient onder andere ter fixatie van kompressen, katheters en castspalken (zoals Cellacast Longuette) en biedt steun, bijvoorbeeld bij lichte sportblessures.
