Het tweede deel speelt zich af in 1978, als acts als The Clash, Blondie of 999 en veel Nederlandse punkbandjes de weg naar Paradiso weten te vinden. Aan de hand van interviews met tijdgenoten, concertverslagen en archiefstukken wordt een beeld gegeven van Paradiso in het jaar 1978.

De eerste druk in riso was snel uitverkocht en deze uitgave is typografisch herzien met extra foto’s, alles full colour en met prent van Paradiso Poster van Pere Ubu (A5 formaat). Oplage: 400 genummerde exemplaren.

Oscar Smit is naast auteur ook DJ, musicjournalist en freelancer in muziek.

My one complaint is that this book is all about what you hear, but they used many animals that people don't know what sounds they make. I have looked up how flamingos flute on YouTube and this is not a sound I can replicate. Don't make the sounds up either unless everyone who reads to your kids is in on your idea of what zebras sound like. Trust me, your toddler will notice. Aside from that flaw, the book is one my kids ask for again and again and this is in fact my second copy of this book, the first one was loved to death.
