Een Chardonnay van Robert Mondavi

Het begint allemaal in 1966, toen Robert Mondavi zijn wijnhuis oprichtte in Napa Valley. Gedurende vele decennia heeft Mondavi de Californische wijnwereld wakker geschud. Zijn innovaties worden nu gebruikt in heel Californië. Dankzij zijn ervaring, heeft Robert Mondavi vele wijngaarden in zijn bezit. De wijngaarden van Woodbridge zijn gelegen nabij Lodi, een belangrijke wijnstad ten oosten van San Francisco.

Woodbridge Chardonnay uit Californië

Robert Mondavi staat bekend om zijn stevige, uitgesproken wijnen. Woodbridge is een vriendelijkere, meer aangenaam alternatief voor de krachtige houtgelagerde chardonnay. Een evenwichtige wijn, waar alle aspecten voor een perfecte wijn in zitten. De oogst van de chardonnay druiven geschiedt handmatig, waardoor alleen de mooiste trossen onderdeel worden van deze spectaculaire witte wijn. Na de oogst rijpt het mooie sap een aantal maanden op eikenhout. Hierdoor krijgt de wijn veel diepgang, maar blijven de fruittonen zoals ananas en mango ook mooi aanwezig. De geur heeft daarnaast wilde tonen van kaneel, munt en vanille. De smaak is romig en fruitig, met een licht kruidige ondertoon. Je proeft abrikozen, lychee en ananas maar ook gele room en vanille. Best dog toys ever. They outlast and are more appealing to my dogs than those that guarantee long life.
We have been buying goDog products from our veterinarian. It takes, literally, years for the dogs to kill them completely. The big toys, such as the chicken, die faster, but even the little mutt loves it. Now the good part: half the price of our veterinarian. Not that I don't want to support them, but $27 bucks for a chicken doomed to die at some point, seems ridiculous. Some of the small sizes are already 4 years old, but the chicken doesn't come in small. Even when they worked at it until the squeaker was dead, the rest of the chicken survived more than a year of constant dragging and tugging. It washed up very good, but we did have to occasionally stitch up larger holes to prevent washing machine loss of stuffing.
