"De Lachende Cavalier" is een beroemd schilderij van Frans Hals uit 1624. Hij is een bekende schilder uit de Nederlandse Gouden Eeuw. Het schilderij laat een man zien met prachtige kleding. Hij draagt een jas met mooie borduursels en een stijlvolle kanten kraag. De man lacht een beetje en kijkt je recht aan. Dat is waarom het schilderij "De Lachende Cavalier" heet, ook al is die naam er pas later bij bedacht.Frans Hals was heel goed in het schilderen van levendige portretten. Hij gebruikte losse penseelstreken waardoor kleren en haar echt lijken te bewegen. De huid en ogen van de man zien er ook heel echt uit.
Veel mensen zijn gefascineerd door dit schilderij. Niet alleen omdat het zo mooi is, maar ook omdat niemand precies weet wie de man is. Het schilderij hangt nu in de Wallace Collection in Londen. Daar kunnen bezoekers zelf zien hoe goed Frans Hals was in het schilderen van mensen. "De Lachende Cavalier" laat echt zien hoe rijk de schilderkunst was in de 17e eeuw in Nederland.

If you have a dog who likes to pop things then this toy isn't it. Within 5 min she had this ball popped. It was made to sound like it was durable for this type of thing but it definitely is not so just be aware. Now if you have a dog who doesn't pop things easy then this would be a good toy
