De open kam zorgt ervoor dat zelfs lang haar pijnloos kan worden afgeschoren zonder het scheermesje te verstoppen. Zo wordt het scheren een plezier.
Bij dit ontwerp rust het scheermesje direct op de open kam. Tijdens het scheren geleiden de tanden van de open kam het haar en zeep direct naar het scheermesje. Deze constructie is vooral voordelig bij lang haar en zware baardgroei.

Openen van scheerkop door de handvat af te draaien.

Dankzij de geribbelde handgreep ligt hij optimaal en slipvast in de hand.

Bij het omstappen naar de Safety Razors heeft u waarschijnlijk een korte gewenningsperiode nodig om om een goed en glad scheerresultaat neer te zetten.
