De Arcadia D3 Forest 6% Reptile T5 lamp is een HO (high output) TL-lamp met een essentiële verhouding tussen daglicht (7000 Kelvin) en voor het menselijk oog onzichtbaar ultraviolette straling. De aanwezige UV straling hebben reptielen en amfibieën nodig om gezond te blijven. De hoeveelheid aan UV straling is afhankelijk van het soort dier en hun natuurlijke leefomgeving. 

Het UVA licht zorgt voor een natuurlijk uitziende omgeving, herkenning van soortgenoten, andere dieren en voedsel. De aanwezige UVB stralen zorgen voor een opname van vitamine D3 in het lichaam (via synthese van de huid). D3 zorgt ervoor dat calcium wordt opgenomen tijdens de spijsvertering. Door de dieren niet bloot te stellen aan UVB straling, kan een tekort aan essentiële voedingstoffen ontstaan en kan leiden tot ziektes, vergroeiingen of tot vroegtijdig overlijden door huisvestingsfouten. 

De T5 HO TL-lampen hebben een doorsnede van 16 mm en zijn eenvoudig te installeren in een speciaal T5 armatuur of  met een TL voorschakelapparaat. TL-lampen zijn verkrijgbaar in verschillende maatvoeringen, waardoor grotere oppervlaktes in het terrarium of paludarium kunnen worden verlicht.

Om de lichtintensiteit en/of UV afgifte te verhogen, is het raadzaam om gebruik te maken van reflectors en/of door meerdere T5 lampen bij elkaar te plaatsen. T5 HO TL-lampen geven nauwelijks warmte af, daarom is het noodzakelijk om deze lampen te combineren met een warmtelamp of warmtespot, voor het creëren van een zonneplaats.

Deze lampen zijn uitermate geschikt voor reptielen die van oorsprong voorkomen in tropische gebieden, die bloot gesteld worden aan hoge UV-straling.

Levensduur
De Arcadia D3 Forest 6% Reptile T5 lamp hebben doorgaans een lange brandtijd. De UV afgifte is beperkt, daarom adviseren wij de lamp om de ± 12 maanden te vervangen.

It's hard to find larger patches particularly ones that stick well. They work well for small, shallow wounds and stay on even where skin moves a lot like on the brows or shoulder. Also because of the tapered edges, they are not very noticeable. I've never had any luck wearing makeup over any patches these included and suspect makeup works better over 8m ones, but I have managed to dot a little concealer over eyeshadow primer in the center of these patches with some success.

This is innovation
I occasionally get pimples that seem like asteroids hit my face and landed.
