The course led by Rick Meyer is a comprehensive guide to personal growth, spiritual development, and achieving excellence in various aspects of life, grounded in Christian principles. It is designed to help participants cultivate a mindset of continuous improvement, dedication, and faith, with the ultimate goal of aligning their lives more closely with God's will.

Throughout the course, Rick emphasizes the importance of preparation, perseverance, and pushing beyond one's limits to achieve greatness. Drawing from his own experiences in athletics, particularly cross-country running, Rick illustrates how success is often the result of consistent effort, determination, and a willingness to do the "little things" right. He shares anecdotes about how his own journey, as well as those of others he's mentored, have been shaped by the commitment to preparation and the belief that opportunity comes to those who are ready to seize it.

The course also delves deeply into the spiritual aspects of life, encouraging participants to seek a closer relationship with God through daily devotion, prayer, and meditation on Scripture. Rick highlights the importance of studying the Bible not just to gain knowledge, but to truly know God and understand His will. He challenges participants to dig deep into their spiritual lives, just as they would in any other pursuit, to discover the "gold" of a deeper relationship with the Lord.

Rick's teachings stress the interconnectedness of physical, professional, and spiritual preparedness. Whether in the context of a race, a career opportunity, or a spiritual calling, the principles of hard work, focus, and reliance on God's guidance are universally applicable. The course encourages participants to trust in God's plan for their lives, to remain humble, and to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all aspects of their lives.

In summary, Rick Meyer's course is a motivational and spiritually enriching program that equips participants with the tools and mindset needed to excel in every area of life. By fostering a disciplined approach to both personal and spiritual growth, the course aims to prepare individuals to recognize and seize opportunities when they arise, all while deepening their faith and trust in God.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Rick E. Meyer's passionate heart for helping others leads him in reading an average of five books per week since the mid-1990s.

Rick's unique background includes running over 134,000 lifetime miles since June 1978, a B.S. in Agronomy (soil, water, and crops) from Kansas State University, and his M.A. in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary provides unique synergistic insights. Attendees will dash out of the arenas filled with mind boggling insights into metaphors such as planting seeds, proper tilling, harvest, and seasons.

While running an average of 9 miles per day for 41 years, Rick understands long-term persistence and authentic motivation to overcome every imaginable excuse. He conquered these miles in temperatures ranging from 13 miles in minus 70°F wind-chill (minus 35°F actual) in 1996 to 5 miles in 118°F in 1983. The weather has varied from blizzards, knee deep snow, ice, sleet, freezing rain, torrential rain, hail, lightning, mud, dust, and high winds to perfectly warm and sunny.

Talk is cheap!

Meyer's presentations supply a lifetime of multi-mode excuse-icides for the attendees to eliminate their excuses.

An interesting, if a little derivative, take on Wolvie’s origins
Format: Kindle
At this point Wolverine origin stories are a dime a dozen and they all will inevitably be held to the standard of the classic Barry Windsor-Smith Weapon X series and while this book tries to reach those heights, it doesn’t quite make it in terms of its writing, it does rival it in terms of art tho, which is nice. Again, another book I wish I could give half stars with because my rating for this book is closer to a 3.5 stars and it’s mostly carried by the art, but it’s leaning closer to the upper half of that rating so that’s why I went with 4. Regardless, my biggest issue comes from the fact that by and large it isn’t THAT different from the usual Wolvie origin story that was established in 616, the whole concept of Logan being the Winter Soldier isn’t used to its fullest potential because (spoilers) it’s tragically short lived, as he is back with this universe’s equivalent of the 616 X-Men by the end of Issue #6; I will say that what little there is of him being the Winter Soldier is cool as hell thanks to Cappuccio's artwork. Seriously, that is the best part of the book: Alessandro Cappuccio's artwork. I loved him on Moon Knight and I love him here, he is a master of delivering high impact artwork whenever it’s needed. Overall it’s a solid book that didn’t take much advantage of its interesting new premise before returning to status quo, but it’s at least carried by some killer artwork.
