The next morning, a banging noise filtered into my brain, rousing me from sleep. I thought I was imagining it, tried to fall back into the dream I’d been having. A dream about Kane, where the kiss I’d been denied the day before had actually happened. His warm lips had covered mine, and his tongue slid over my mouth in a lazy glide, resulting in my letting him inside. I moaned. He gripped the back of my head, tilting me for better, deeper access. His tongue tangled with mine, and I hooked a leg around his, arching my hips so my sex ground against his.

The loud banging penetrated my head once more, drumming through my skull, interrupting my recall of the sexy dream.

“Damn,” I muttered, forcing my eyelids open and pushing myself up in bed.

The noise sounded like it was coming from the back of the house, and I needed to check out the cause. It was too early on a Sunday morning to be woken out of a sound slumber with hot dreams, especially because I didn’t sleep easily and I definitely didn’t have sex-filled dreams often, if ever.

I climbed out of bed and retrieved a short silk robe from the back of the chair by the small vanity in my room and pulled it on, knotting the belt at my waist.

Then I walked out of my bedroom and past my easel to the doors leading to the back deck, stopping short at the sight.

Kane had carried a fair amount of the treated wood out from beneath the tarp, and he was in the process of bringing more. Wearing a pair of jeans and a fitted white tee shirt, muscles flexing, he dropped the wood onto the pile, the loud sound explaining the noise.

I was embarrassed now that I knew it was him and he’d interrupted himself starring in my sensual dream. But I needed to know why he was here.

I unlocked the door and flung the slider open. “What’s going on?” I tugged on the belt of my robe and stepped outside. “Kane?”

He glanced up, his eyes scanning from my bare feet and legs, up over my body and neck, landing on my face. Pure male approval glittered in his gaze, which, considering I’d just rolled out of bed without checking a mirror, startled me.

He walked over, stopping in front of me. “Good morning.”

I swallowed hard and ignored the heat that rushed to my cheeks at his perusal. “Good morning. What are you doing?” I asked him.

“What does it look like I’m doing?” He gestured to the stack of wood he’d accumulated. “I’m fixing your deck.”

“Yes, I see that. I meant… why?”

“Because it needs to be done, and I like working with my hands.”

My mind raced to the innuendo in that statement, his hands stroking over my body, taking his time, outlining my curves. And when he winked at me, I knew I hadn’t been the only one whose mind went there.

I cleared my throat. “I appreciate that you want to help me, but I can’t take advantage of you like that.” Take advantage. Jesus. Why did everything out of our mouths feel like it had a sexual connotation?

“You’re not taking advantage. I want to do it. I renovated the house my father lives in if you need a reference,” he said, and I wasn’t sure if he was joking about the referral. “As long as you don’t mind me working during my free time, I don’t mind getting it done.”

“Thank you. Really.” I’d have to do what I could to show my appreciation. And very specific ways of giving gratitude came to mind. Me on my knees in front of him, slowly undoing his zipper until his cock sprang free. Gah! What was I doing, thinking about him that way while he watched me, amusement in his knowing gaze?

He reached out and lifted the end of the tie on my robe. “Now that we’ve settled that, can you do me a favor?” He ran the silk between his thumb and forefinger, slowly. Sensually.

“Of course. Name it,” I said in a hoarse croak, mesmerized by the way his calloused fingers caressed the soft material, my nipples hard beneath my camisole.

“Please go put on some damned clothes,” he said in a roughened voice. “You’re distracting me from my work.” His gaze had zeroed in on the hardened peaks poking at my robe.

Oh, God. I blushed, something that was becoming a habit when he was around, turned, and headed inside.

A foaming cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin!
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I have very dry, reactive skin and initially looked past this face wash because it is foaming which is usually a no-go for my skin. I am pleasantly surprised with how well my skin tolerated this product. No dryness or irritation and my face felt clean. I also love that it is fragrance free because fragrances seem to really irritate my skin and who needs to smell their face wash? I am happy to say this is another great product from Avene!

Gentle cleanser for dry and sensitive skin.
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser, Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I have dry and sensitive skin, and this cleanser has worked very well for me. It is very gentle on the skin and has not caused any irritation. The texture is light and foamy, it spreads easily across the face and rinses off without leaving any residue. After using it, my skin feels clean, soft, and comfortable, without any tightness. The size is quite large, which I find great because it lasts a long time with daily use. Overall, a simple but very pleasant cleanser for sensitive skin.

Holy Grail Moisturizer for Rosacea
Style: Restorative Protective Cream-3.3 Fl Oz
In seeing so many negative reviews I felt compelled to weigh in as this is my favorite moisturizer. I have very dry, menopausal skin. Additionally, I have rosacea which seems to have been a nice gift from said menopause (you can only laugh, right?). It's very common for those of us in our 50's to have a compromised skin barrier and when an issue like rosacea is present, even more so. Because of all this my skin is very intolerant to most moisturizers and nearly all actives (over the last few years I've had to discontinue my retinols and chemical exfoliators). While ingredients like ALA's, petrolatum, mineral oil, parafin/bees wax, and lanolin are well tolerated and known to be quite soothing, they don't hydrate very well as they are more occlusive than moisturizing. Enter this product. Magically, it does both! It's marketed as a protective cream, which again implies occlusive, but it penetrates like no other. Gone is the tight, dry feeling that persisted even when I had a heavy layer of product on my skin (my previous moisturizer was Eucerin Original Healing Cream -- which still has its uses -- because it was the only thing I could put on my skin outside of squalane oil during a flare). Now, no topical can cure rosacea. However, the right product can calm the skin, repair the damaged lipid barrier, and improve its appearance. This moisturizer does just that and it's become my holy grail. Since starting this I've also added in the Cicalfate Serum which has only aided in repairing my skin. Another Avene product that works great for me is the XeraCalm Balm which helps with itching. I use all three of these daily and they've really helped fix the secondary issues that come with rosacea. As for the complaints about it being greasy or too heavy. I can see this not working for people with normal or oily skin (or perhaps only in moderation). But my skin loves the heavier weight and because one of the ways I soothe a flare is to keep a tiny mister bottle on hand and repeatedly spray my face so I have to guard against the drying effects of evaporation. These products are so lipid heavy that I can wet my face all day long without worrying about that, though I do reapply throughout the day. As for the watery consistency issue, I haven't had that problem but it does caution on the packaging not to expose the product to temperatures below 41 degrees F (5 C). I suspect that if it gets too cold either because of the weather or because of whatever warehouse it sat in during transit it will separate. Maybe open the package and before squeezing some out look to see if it has split and then shake it up/message the tube. So, if you have skin like mine don't hesitate to try this product. I'm leaving this absurdly long review for my struggling brothers and sisters out there with rosacea in hopes that it provides some relief! Happy moisturizing, internet strangers. ;)

Possible solution to seperation
Style: Restorative Protective Cream-1.3 Fl Oz
I love this product so much, but, like everyone else the water HEAVILY separated. A lot of water just shot out immediately and as i've used the cream it has felt more and more thick bc of that, shaking the tube or not. POSSIBLE SOLUTION: I actually think the company could salvage this problem by upgrading packaging to a Cosmetic JAR and then customers could take a toothpick and stir if separation has occurred by the time of purchase. I hope to try this with my next tube, just toothpaste squeezed everything out into a nice cosmetic jar and stir the water back into the product. This is such a simple solution that could really solve the product waste. This refreshes my skin, doesn't break me out, and is lovely. I break out so easily, and being middle aged my skin really requires a dense help with moisture. <3

Ordered in spring/summer and it arrived separated too BUT...
Style: Restorative Protective Cream-1.3 Fl Oz
Ok, So I heard great things about this cream and decided to order. I ordered on May 28th and I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas and it is in the low 90s right now. I was worried mine would arrived separated like many others claimed to have gotten theirs, and sadly it did. Warm weather or not, blue water shot out of the tube the minute I squeezed it. Luckily, I read Mia P's review and submerged my tube in warm water (hot water actually straight out of my instant hot water faucet). I left it for about 5 minutes then shook it vigoroously. It seemed to help but was still a bit wonky so I repeated the process again and success! My tube is totally fine now and comes out in a thick, rich, emollient cream as it is supposed to. I will update my review after I use it more but so far I love the way it feels on the skin. It is very thick but spreads nicely and completely absorbs into the skin and leaves no greasy residue which is a big deal because I have oily skin. I purchased this to help with my Retin A uglies (I actually am using Musely with .05% tretinoin) and am hoping it helps with the redness and peeling I am having. I will update my review once I've used it for a while but wanted to post this review as I saw so many people complaining about the separating and just thought I'd mention that you can fix this issue if you have it (and there is a good likely hood that you will). Update: I've been using this for a week now and I am absolutely in love with this cream! It is the most hydrating and healing cream I've ever used. Usually, thicker face creams like this would cause issues for me with acne or clogged pores as I do have oily skin that can break out if I use products with occlusive ingredients, but this one does not. In fact, my skin has never looked better! This is a must-have if you are using Retin-A/Tretinoin and going through the red/peely phase with your skin. The separation that occurred when I first received it has not been a problem and the cream is staying thick and free from any strange liquidy issues after I put it in hot water as mentioned in the first part of my review.
