Production Notes

Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac is crafted from selected eaux-de-vie from the prime regions, namely, the Borderies, Fins Bois, Grande Champagne, and Petite Champagne. Uniquely, Martell has a preference for using Ugni Blanc, a white grape renowned for producing wines with high acidity, ideal for distillation. The distillation follows a traditional method, using copper stills. The resulting spirit is then aged in medium toasted Tronçais and Limousin oak barrels. The maturation process allows the cognac to develop its characteristic smoothness and rich, complex flavors. This time-honored method of production underscores why Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac has remained an icon of the spirits industry for over a century.
