This is a nice crotch bowl blank of Green Ash suitable for a bowl of 5 to 6" diameter and up to 2. 5" deep. This is a half log with full sapwood and bark on the back. It has some nice chatoyance related to the crotch split and a bit of a feather pattern in the crotch itself. It is ready to be mounted on your lathe and turned to create a conventional or natural edge bowl. It does have a during growth

Green Ash Bowl Blank GA-230 6" x 8" x 2.5" 2 lbs. This is a nice crotch bowl blank of Green Ash suitable for a bowl of 5 to 6" diameter and up to 2.5" deep. This is a half-log with full sapwood and bark on the back. It has some nice chatoyance related to the crotch split and a bit of a feather pattern in the crotch itself. It is ready to be mounted on your lathe and turned to create a conventional or natural-edge bowl. It does have a during-growth crack that is brown-black with age -- these are often from windstorms during growth. Much of this would turn out in a conventional bowl form. Any remaining checks can be readily treated with CA glue. If you'd like a natural edge bowl, you'll find that the bark is full and tight on the back of the blank.
