MTHFR and PURE METHYLATION

TECH TALK! Amy explains how PURE METHYLATION works...

What does BiomeIQ’s Pure Methylation do and How Does it Work?
MTHFR mutations cause a deficiency in methylation, which creates the inability to make enough methylation to support the entire body. They also create difficulty producing the enzyme Folate Reductase at an efficient rate. Meaning: Your body gets dirty faster from a buildup of toxins. Most of the symptoms associated with MTHFR are not as a result of the mutation but because the body is overloaded with lots of toxins that cause hormone dysregulations and make you feel sick in general.

How do you get rid of the toxins and make up for the methylation difficulty?

You can take methylation in the form of a handful of B vitamins, because the mutation is not just affecting methyl groups but also the enzyme Folate Reductase which methylate’s Folate. Pure Methylation is the combination of 3 B Vitamins: B12, B6, and Folate.
Why do a balanced B? If what you need is folate and you need it to be methylated, then why add a B12 and a B6?

Bodies work in ratios. They aren’t designed to work on a single B vitamin or any single nutrient for that matter. Think about foods with lots of B vitamins such as leafy green vegetables. You never find just one B vitamin, and this is because the mitochondrial cycle requires a number of B’s in a very specific ratio. Therefore, we use Pure Methylation in our clinic and recommend it to individuals with MTHFR mutations. Pure Methylation is the combination of 3 B Vitamins: B12, B6, and Folate and adheres to the same ratio that the mitochondrial cycle prefers with the already reduced form of the vitamin folate. This means it’s easy to absorb if you have MTHFR mutations.

Additional benefits of Pure Methylation:
• Supports neurological and cognitive health
• Supports the upkeep of healthy homocysteine levels
• Twice the amount of bioavailability
• Supports healthy methylation
• Supports a healthy heart

Keep in mind; methylation is a tool that the body uses to turn on and turn off reactions. It is a promoter, it turns on sequences. Do not with any methylation, including this product or any other supporting methylation, don’t take too much of it. If you over methylate, a whole bunch of different reactions in the body are created that can’t be controlled.

The key when picking out a product concerning methylation is to make sure that its pure and certified specifically for MTHFR. MTHFR bodies DO NOT like toxicity. Make sure it is a very clean physician grade vitamin such as our Pure Methylation. You also want to make sure you have the right ratio of B vitamins. Just taking a methylated folate can be a problem because the mitochondrial cycle is turned on by B12. Only driving one part of this cycle without the rest can create problems for the body.
If you’re looking for a safe product for effective methylation with the right balance of B vitamins and a clean product that’s easily absorbable, then we recommend Pure Methylation.

Pure Methylation, what is it? (Transcript from video)

This is probably one of my favorite products for MTHFR, and you can see, under 'biome IQ', it has the MTHFR Family logo over there, meaning it's certified and safe, and designed for MTHFR. It's the combination of three B vitamins, so it's B12, B6, and folate. And I'm sure you're going to ask the question, "Is it the right folate for MTHFR? So, is it a five prime methyltetrafolate?" It absolutely is. If you want to learn more about this product, more about the specifics, the technical side of things, just click on the next video.

Tech Talk (Transcript from video)

Pure methylation. Let's get down and dirty with the technical reason why this product works. So, I know most folks at MTHFR are keenly aware that what they really have is a deficiency in methylation, not making enough methylation as well as a difficulty producing properly the enzyme folate reductase. All right, so, it means that it gets dirty very fast. That's really the bottom line. And so, most of the symptoms associated with MTHFR are not a result of the mutation but acquiring lots of toxins that then cause hormone dysregulations and just generally make you sick.

So, the question is how do you get rid of those toxins, or basically, how do you make up for the methylation deficiency? Well, you can take methylation in the form of a handful of B vitamins because the mutation is not just methyl group, but also the enzyme folate reductase methylating the vitamin folate. Of course, becomes the holy grail for MTHFR, right? So, why do a balanced B? If what you need is folate and you need to be methylated, why add a B12 and a B6? So here's the thing, bodies work in ratios. They're not designed to work just on a single B vitamin. And if you think about foods that have lots of B vitamins like green vegetables, you never really find a vitamin that has just one B, and it's because the cycle, the mitochondrial cycle requires a number of these in a very specific ratio.

The reason I like this product over here is because, it adheres to the same ratio that the mitochondrial cycle prefers, with the already reduced form of the vitamin folate, meaning it's easy to absorb if you have MTHFR. One word of caution for everybody, I know, again, because you have MTHFR, and you probably read a lot about it, you're thinking, "Maybe let me methylate, and then let me methylate some more to keep feeling better." Keep in mind, methylation is a tool that a body uses to turn on and turn off reactions.

It is by definition, a promoter, turns on sequences. Do not, with any methylation that's true for pure methylation, it's true for any methylation, don't take too much of it. If you over-methylate, you create a whole bunch of reactions in a body that it can't control. So the key when you're picking up your own product for methylation, this one's mine, number one, you wanna make sure it's pure and certified specifically for MTHFR. MTHFR bodies don't like toxicity, so you wanna make sure it's a very, very clean nutraceutical, so physician grade Vitamin, which this one is. Number two, you wanna make sure that you get the right ratio of B vitamins. So just taking a methylated folate can be a problem because the cycle is actually turned on by B12. So if you just drive one part of the cycle without the rest, body's gonna have a problem

And then finally, depending on your MTHFR methylation, that's how you know how many of these pills to take. Here in clinic, what we normally do is a single A mutation. So A in a wild tape. We normally make the recommendation of one cap per day for a double C mutation, so least affected to most affected. A by itself or a double C the two sides of the spectrum for MTHFR. For a double C, depending on the person, depending on the symptoms, depending on their labs, what we normally recommend is two caps up to two times per day. All right, so again, if you're looking for a safe product for effective methylation, the balance of the B vitamins over here, the fact that it's such a clean product, the fact that it's so good at really driving that mitochondrial cycle, it's my favorite when it comes to methylation.

Slow burn with a sprinkle of fantasy.
Format: Kindle
It was alright. Written well. Story was decent. But it just lacked something. It's the slowest burn I've ever read, which is fine. I felt like the knight (main character) was kind of weak and whiney… And I expected the strength of a knight! The first chapter is filled with a lot of background information, but then it's like the story doesn't really reference it again. I would have liked a bit more information that first chapter before just heading right into the story in chapter 2. Things could have been explained more in general. There could have been a lot more detail and explanation abiut the fantasy side of the book. It was just like a straight romance with a sprinkle of fantasy. Overall, it was decent, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone unless they asked specifically for a slow burn with a little bit of fantasy. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A Forbidden Romance With Teeth
Format: Paperback
First off: I loved the couple. Della, our acting princess, and her sharp wit and determination to survive were a refreshing change from the damsel type princess. Galeon was a woman of honour and yet so head over heels with the fake princess that she can't keep away. Birch does a great job of building a magical world and drawing you into it so that you kept turning pages until the end. And that page-turning was also spurred by the slow burn will-they-won't-they romance between the heroines who had much to lose if they crossed the line. I've purchased all three novels and will review Her Blushing Hero just as soon as I've finished.

A HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL TAPESTRY OF EMOTIONS
Format: Paperback
“𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩, 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘵, 𝘑𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘩? 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.” What a rare gem of a story! With an almost dreamlike, fairy-tale quality to her every word, Mia Sheridan weaves a hauntingly beautiful tapestry of darkness and light, love and loss, pain and atonement, with a tale that transports the reader to a place where true love never dies, and where a spark of hope can find its way through even the smallest of cracks in an old, stone wall. Set against the vivid background of the mystical city of New Orleans, this is the story of two lonely hearts who find safe harbour in each other’s arms, but as they work together to unlock a mystery from the past, they begin to discover that the greatest battles sometimes lie within us, and that is where they must be fought. As always, Mia Sheridan’s storytelling is exquisite, transcendent, soulful, and just stunning. Shortly after moving to New Orleans to pursue a career in ballet, Clara Campbell finds herself awash in loneliness and uncertainty, the company of an elderly neighbour becoming her only respite from the melancholy that threatens to overwhelm her daily. And it is during one of her visits to her elderly friend that Clara learns of a century-and-a-half-old legend held within the beautiful, broken structures of Windisle Plantation. From the moment Clara hears the story of a beautiful young slave who fell for a handsome southern soldier, and whose spirits are said to be still trapped in the very place where their love affair ended so tragically, she begins to feel a strange pull to Windisle, beckoning her to explore the secrets held within its shadows. But instead of finding ghosts there, Clara meets a mysterious stranger hiding behind its walls. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘫𝘰𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥. Jonah Chamberlain hasn’t stepped outside his old, crumbling family estate in eight long, grief-filled years. Holding himself responsible for the tragic events that led to his own scarred appearance, Jonah spends his days drowning in sorrow and loneliness, but from the moment he hears a young woman’s selfless wish whispered through the cracks in an old, stone wall, he becomes bewitched by her. They continue to meet week after week, spending time just talking, and sharing their innermost thoughts and fears with one another, even though that stone wall continues to stand between them. “𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘵. 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵, 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭.” As they slowly begin to piece the past together, getting closer and closer to setting the star-crossed lovers free from the curse trapping them at Windisle, Clara and Jonah also begin to fall in love. But it soon becomes clear to Clara that her velvet-voiced ‘wish collector’ might be living in a cage of his own making—never too far, but always far enough to be out of reach to her, their reality in so many ways echoing the very curse they are trying to break. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘸𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩. The depth of emotion that Mia Sheridan is able to conjure on the page is breathtaking, her nuanced prose brimming with symbolism and sensuality, but her true gift lies in creating complex, fractured characters that have been bruised by life, but who find unexpected glimmers of hope and grace when they least expect it. The novel builds slowly with absolutely gorgeous language and setting, and with a dual timeline structure that sways gently from past to present, braiding the narratives together little by little, we unravel the past at the same time as the future unfolds before us. Both beautiful and tragic, this is the kind of story that sticks with you long after the final page. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴, 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢. 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. 𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦?”
