Vintage Moroccan Berber Hair Ring Size 8 3/4Made of silver tone metal with a brassy dome, this Moroccan hair ring is locally known as talbatem. This type of hair ring was worn through hair, either high up near the temples or the end of braids. It can easily be worn as a finger ring. There are solder marks near the base but overall in reasonable vintage condition. The hair ring does not test as silver. There are similar items in the Quai Branly Museum (74. 1971. 15. 5 and 74. 1967. 9. 10). The
