Explore the transformative ideas in 'Posthuman Knowledge,' a groundbreaking work by Rosi Braidotti that critically examines the evolving definitions of humanity in today's rapidly changing world. This insightful book delves into the intersection of humanism and the humanities, highlighting how recent critiques have challenged traditional anthropocentric views. As we witness the unprecedented growth of knowledge-intensive capitalism and advancements in genetic and algorithmic technologies, understanding our identity and knowledge production has never been more crucial. In 'Posthuman Knowledge', Braidotti expertly integrates feminist, postcolonial, and anti-racist theories, revealing how the concept of 'the human' has been intricately tied to power structures and privilege. She calls for an urgent rethinking of dualities that have historically marginalized racialized and sexualized groups. This compelling text serves as a critical call to action, advocating for a multifaceted approach to knowledge that transcends anthropocentrism while addressing the discriminatory practices embedded within human interactions.

Description:
The question of what defines the human, and of what is human about the humanities, have been shaken up by the radical critiques of humanism and the displacement of anthropomorphism that have gained currency in recent years, propelled in part by rapid advances in our knowledge of living systems and of their genetic and algorithmic codes coupled with the global expansion of a knowledge-intensive capitalism In Posthuman Knowledge, Rosi Braidotti takes a closer look at the impact of these developments on three major areas: the constitution of our subjectivity, the general production of knowledge and the practice of the academic humanities Drawing on feminist, postcolonial and anti-racist theory, she argues that the human was never a neutral category but one always linked to power and privilege Hence we must move beyond the old dualities in which Man defined himself, beyond the sexualized and racialized others that were excluded from humanity Posthuman knowledge, as Braidotti understands it, is not so much an alternative form of knowledge as a critical call: a call to build a multi-layered and multi-directional project that displaces anthropocentrism while pursuing the analysis of the discriminatory and violent aspects of human activity and interaction wherever they occur.Situated between the exhilaration of scientific and technological advances on the one hand and the threat of climate change devastation on the other, the posthuman convergence encourages us to think hard and creatively about what we are in the process of becoming.

Superior construction & reasonable cost!
Color: Black, Size: 8x12
I had one old picture that was this odd size. I didn't want to spend a fortune, and this fit the price. When it came I was so impressed with the quality. Not glass, but I love the ease of construction with swinging tabs that held the back on instead of those cheap flat pegs you can't get back in the holes.. Excellant, superior. I love it! I hope it comes in more normal sizes as well, like 8x10, 11x14, 16x20 even!

Beautiful Non-Glass Frame
Color: Bronze, Size: 12x16
Love this frame!! I'm so in love with the new type of frame backing this one had! I hate those frames that have those tiny thin metal tabs that stick out where you have to bend up/down to remove backing but not this one! It has these really easy to use metal springs that you push down & turn & it easy pops out! Wish frames all came w actual glass! I thought this one had glass but was wrong, it has the thin plexiglass type covering where you remove the clear stickers from front/back. It will work but because I have it used in a bathroom, I will need to get a glass replacement eventually. Love the gold color, it's a really pretty gold, not overly yellow. Overall, I think its a nice frame & such a great value.

Gorgeous Distressed Bronze Frame, Easy to Hang
Color: Bronze, Size: 18x24, Color: Bronze, Size: 18x24
This bronze frame looks really, really good—honestly, it passes for real bronze at a glance. It has a nice distressed finish that gives it some character without overdoing it.
It’s also surprisingly lightweight, which makes it much easier to hang on the wall. The overall build feels solid, and I don’t see any issues with it coming apart or feeling cheap.
I especially like the back—everything is well thought out, from the sawtooth hangers to the tabs that make it easy to open and insert your print.
I didn’t have my print yet to put in it, or I would’ve included a photo of it fully set up, but I added some pictures to show the detail and the back hardware.
Great-looking frame, well made, and easy to work with. Definitely happy with it.

Nice Frames
Color: Black, Size: 8x10
I purchased two of these frames in black. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they are given the price was so low. I removed the film on both sides of the plexiglass as instructed and it was crystal clear. These are not high quality frames if that's what you are looking for.....real wood or glass. However, they are awesome for the price and what I needed them for. I would purchase them again.
